THE VALUE RISK CLARIFICATIONS
Chelsea
The defence v WBA looked better after the Bournemouth and Watford shambles and I suspect £5.3m Christensen will be secure in the defence given comments by Conte and the disaster without him.
Man Utd
With Jones and Valencia injury doubts and Bailly coming back plus Mid Young seemingly the favoured LB who knows what defender to pick apart from going to the GK in De Gea. Will Smalling or Jones be the sacrifice for Bailly (assuming he does return to first choice) it’s difficult to say until all 3 are available for selection and a pattern emerges.
Man City
A similar issue really with 4 CBs and Otamendi in serious minutes overload. Walker seems the best choice as his cover is the out of favour, use only in emergencies, Danilo.
Liverpool
Robertson seems to have held off Moreno for now if you want the cheap option. Van Dijk seems the safer option
The GK position is supposedly Karius’s now at £4.8m.
Leicester
Simpson at £4.3m should be the first choice RB although he was bizarrely on the bench for Albrighton as a RWB. Something Sterling was grateful for with his goal. Hard to know what’s going to happen here as Puel isn’t the most predictable manager
Everton
Injuries and form cloud the selection here and apart from the GK Pickford it’s tricky to get someone in with longevity guaranteed. If you’ve got Kenny it’s a case of hoping that Coleman is out until GW31
Watford
The new coach seems more defensively minded but the number of players and injuries cloud the picture and make any choice a risk. Gomes should be back relatively soon from a back injury to recover the GK position
PLAYER SUGGESTIONS FOR A GW28 TRANSFER IN
We’re looking for good defences with GW28 being a good entry point and good fixtures onward as an ideal.
2 suggestions for me
Liverpool – Van Dijk for safety or Robertson for some what seems unlikely Moreno risk. GW31 fixture
WBA – Hegazi as he has a fixture in GW31 and a good few fixtures before hand.
