Here’s our fantasy premier league GW28 team selection article where we outline the FFGeek teams. We look at last weeks points, transfers, team lineups and captain decisions.
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW28 TEAM SELECTION – THE FFGEEK TEAM
So firstly it’s important to say I’m continuing with my 2 team theme as a result of my accidental free hit chip being used in GW23.
Team 1 is the team with the free hit chip lost.
Team 2 has the free hit team intact and was cloned from one of my alternate FFGeek teams to be my original team through a -28 point hit.
Team 2 is to help people who were following my original team as a reference point so they can continue doing so.
Team 1 will help those people who used their free hit chip earlier in the season.
Both teams require totally different strategies to navigate through the potential blank and double gameweeks up coming

TRANSFER OPTIONS
With no free hit chip in place my focus this week is on the key team in GW31 of Liverpool. They have 2 games now with West Ham at home and Newcastle at home followed by a tricky match at Man Utd before that blank week.
I’ve always intended to have 3 Liverpool players for GW31 and with those 2 fixtures next this seems the time to do it.
Gomez had to go on the basis that I can easily see Alexander Arnold starting v Watford and to me Van Dijk seems the most reliable starter. I did think about Mane in for Son and leaving Gomez in but Firmino with his ownership and propensity to score big seems the safer bet.
With Kane going no where that means Aguero was in line to go. It seems nonsensical to remove someone the week after they score 4 goals but the return to training of Jesus and Pep speculating today that Jesus could even play some part in the EFL final just screams rest and rotation for Aguero. Especially if you think of the number of games Aguero has played recently. Lastly the fixtures of Arsenal away and Chelsea at home in the next 2 are difficult fixtures in contrast to Firmino.
So the transfers are:
Gomez to Van Dijk and Aguero to Firmino.
TEAM SELECTION
Defence looks like a bit of a disaster this week and that’s never a good sign but there’s no choice to make as Jones is likely to be out and West Ham v Liverpool is as far back on the bench as Ogbonna can go
CAPTAIN DECISION
I’ve yet to do a captain article and will do so tomorrow morning but for the moment the armband is going on Salah. I’m thinking that the vice will be Kane.
GW31 WATCH
Liverpool – Van Dijk, Salah, Firmino
Watford – Richarlison
Everton – Kenny and Niasse
Stoke – no one
Huddersfield – no one
Palace – McArthur
Bournemouth – no one
WBA – no one
I’m assuming Spurs will win their replay and have their fixture postponed
That gives me 7 players subject to selection with 3 transfers to go. I’ll probably make 1 transfer next week and then hold over 2 for GW31.

This team is as if I didn’t make an accidental free hit ie the same as my original team and was cloned from one of my alternate FFGeek teams to be my original team through a -28 point hit. I will keep it to show how I would have navigated through the blanks with all the chips intact. I think that will be helpful for those who were using my original team as a reference point
