Here’s our fantasy premier league GW29 team selection article where we outline the FFGeek teams. We look at last weeks points, transfers, team lineups and captain decisions.
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW29 TEAM SELECTION – THE FFGEEK TEAM
So firstly it’s important to say I’m continuing with my 2 team theme as a result of my accidental free hit chip being used in GW23.
Team 1 is the team with the free hit chip lost.
Team 2 has the free hit team intact and was cloned from one of my alternate FFGeek teams to be my original team through a -28 point hit.
Team 2 is to help people who were following my original team as a reference point so they can continue doing so.
Team 1 will help those people who used their free hit chip earlier in the season.
Both teams require totally different strategies to navigate through the potential blank and double gameweeks up coming
GW28 PERFORMANCE – FREE HIT LOST TEAM

TRANSFER OPTIONS
So before GW31 I only probably want Shaqiri and a GK left which will probably be 1 of Butland, Pickford, Hennessey or Lossl. At a push FWD Mounie could also be an option. The Mid position at Bournemouth would have to be clearer for me to go for Ibe or Stanislas but no Bournemouth defender excites me.
So that’s 3 players for 3 transfers left and maybe for giving me the potential for 10 players but more likely 9 with Kenny looking less and less likely to figure.
The problems is that none have a good fixture this week so none are attractive. I could roll the transfer over but with Jones out and maybe Sterling out I probably should make a transfer. On the basis that I will most likely wildcard in GW32 then I effectively have a free transfer for 2 weeks if I’m going outside the GW31 teams. Spurs and Arsenal probably have the best 2 fixtures before GW31 if I’m looking elsewhere. I’m not sure I trust Arsenal after Thursday especially on such a short turnaround so my attention is at Spurs.
With Jones definitely out injured then I think he is the most logical transfer. The issue with Spurs is predicting the 2 week defensive lineup with Juve midweek. Alderweireld is out for the next 2 but I guess could return for GW30 which rules him out of my thinking. Vertonghen has just come back from an, albeit minor, injury so although long term he’s the best option I definitely want him to start v Huddersfield so he looks too much of a risk. That leaves Davies and Aurier. Aurier is suspended for the UCL match and didn’t play v Rochdale so you’d think he’s a certain starter. I think Davies is likely to start as well given that Rose played midweek. Davies should play against Juve so does that mean he won’t play v Bournemouth to avoid 3 games in a week?
For that reason I think Aurier is the safest for GW29 which is my priority so he’s my transfer
Transfer Jones out – Aurier in.
Now with the weather situation I’m not going to do my transfer until tomorrow morning to get a better feel for any weather affected games. I’ll tweet the transfer when done.
TEAM SELECTION
A pretty tricky team selection with Kenny, Richarlison and Niasse having to become 2 places. In the end I went for Kenny on the bench as I can’t believe Coleman who’s fit won’t start. Jones is Aurier
CAPTAIN DECISION
I’ve yet to do a captain article but I’m pretty sure I’ll go for Salah
GW31 WATCH
Liverpool – Van Dijk, Salah, Firmino
Watford – Richarlison
Everton – Kenny and Niasse
Stoke – no one
Huddersfield – no one
Palace – McArthur
Bournemouth – no one
WBA – no one
That gives me 7 players subject to selection with 2 transfers to go after this week.

This team is as if I didn’t make an accidental free hit ie the same as my original team and was cloned from one of my alternate FFGeek teams to be my original team through a -28 point hit. I will keep it to show how I would have navigated through the blanks with all the chips intact. I think that will be helpful for those who were using my original team as a reference point
