This season we welcome back 4 of last seasons managers who were the subject of our article. We add to that a new 6 managers. Stats of these managers are unbelievable and every bit as impressive as last season
1. The overall average finishing overall rank of the top 10 managers in the last 3 seasons is 2,963
2. The top 10 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons (ie 30 times playing)
3. All 10 have finished in the top 1,000 in the last 3 seasons
Gameweek review
It is only 2 gameweeks in but a bad start for the top 10 FPL managers
A terrible week for the top 10 FPL managers. 9 of the 10 had red arrows.
The average score of the managers in GW2 was 39 compared to the average of 44. Thats 5 points and 11% below the average score. High score of the 10 was 47. The low score was 29. A spread of 18 for an fairly low scoring gameweek.
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers saw a big worsening to 1.176m compared to 584k in the last gameweek. An average rank worsening of 592k. The best rank is 293k and the lowest 2.489 million. If you calculated the median rank then that worsened to 1.147 million compared to 449k last gameweek. A worsening of rank of 698k. At the moment only 4 have overall ranks inside 1 million.
The average value sees a slight improvement to £100.3m
If you’re interested my score was comparatively good at 51 although it still resulted in a big red arrow. I had a higher score than all of the 10 managers. My overall rank is now 220k compared to 133k last gameweek. A worsening of rank of 87k. I’m ahead of all 10 of the top managers. My team value is the same as the average at £100.3m. My total score is 136 points.
