Here’s our fantasy premier league GW32 team selection article where we outline the FFGeek teams. We look at last weeks points, transfers, team lineups and captain decisions.
FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW32 TEAM SELECTION – THE FFGEEK TEAM
Just to repeat that I’m continuing with my 2 team theme as a result of my accidental free hit chip being used in GW23.
Team 1 is the team with the free hit chip lost.
Team 2 has the free hit team intact and was cloned from one of my alternate FFGeek teams to be my original team through a -28 point hit.
Team 2 is to help people who were following my original team as a reference point so they can continue doing so.
Team 1 will help those people who used their free hit chip earlier in the season.
Both teams require totally different strategies to navigate through the potential blank and double gameweeks up coming
GW31 PERFORMANCE – FREE HIT LOST TEAM
GW31 points: 88 (average 46) Tot Points: 1,856 Gameweek rank 646k Overall Rank: 25k no rank movement Team Value: £102.7m
Here’s the team points. Stayed at 25k with no rank movement.
So not losing any ground on the blank week that I wasn’t that well prepared for was good plus a better than 1 million gameweek rank is always pleasing.
If you want more detail on the gameweek gone then I cover it a bit more in the FFGeek early thoughts team article.
Here’s the team points:
TRANSFER OPTIONS
The only transfers I was really considering were either Niasse to Aubameyang or Niasse to Lukaku. It was pretty much a toss up. I have reservations about Lukaku as you can see in my bandwagons article but there’s also a pretty early in his PL career Aubameyang who could play in an under strength Arsenal team because of mass rotation for the Europa League game this week. However in the end I probably trust Aubameyang v Stoke more than Lukaku in a Man Utd team at home to what can be a stubborn Swansea side.
I was never really tempted to wildcard this week as I set the team up to be reasonably competitive this week. It does mean my team is totally different than most wildcard teams which brings it’s own issues if you underscore the template but obviously too in reverse.
So the transfer was Niasse out Aubameyang in
Wildcard next week. Triple captain possibly 36 Salah v Stoke and bench boost in the anticipated GW37. See my imaginary wildcard article for how this could work
CAPTAIN DECISION
I’ve yet to do a captain article but I’ll probably take the safe route of Salah over Aubameyang. Vice is Aubameyang.
TEAM SELECTION
The only real issue was the GKs and that maybe a non issue if Hart keeps his place but a West Ham double up even vs Southampton seemed a step too far anyway.
Here’s the team.
GW31 PERFORMANCE – FREE HIT INTACT TEAM
This team is as if I didn’t make an accidental free hit ie the same as my original team and was cloned from one of my alternate FFGeek teams to be my original team through a -28 point hit. I will keep it to show how I would have navigated through the blanks with all the chips intact. I think that will be helpful for those who were using my original team as a reference point
GW31 points: 82 (average 46) Tot points: 1,781 Gameweek rank 867k Overall Rank: 167k red arrow 4k Team Value: £101.4m
Here’s the points:
An 4k red arrow to 167k OR.
So an ok gameweek with a small loss although disappointing the 2 transfers of Mounie and Butland blanked
Same transfer this week except it’s Mounie out and Aubameyang in. The only other thought I had was Kenny out for Valencia but I went with the attacking option instead.
The plan is wildcard GW33 Bench Boost DGW34, Free Hit GW35 and triple captain Kane for the anticipated DGW37
Good luck this week!
