FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW32 TRANSFERS – THE FFGEEK TEAM

Fantasy Premier League, ffgeek teams

Here’s our fantasy premier league GW32 transfers article where we outline the FFGeek team. As usual we look at last week, the transfer dilemmas, the team selection and the captain decision.  I’m travelling for a couple of days and I’m not sure how much I’ll be able to do so getting the essential articles out early.  I’d rather do this with all the teams news in but not possible I’m afraid.

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW32 TRANSFERS – THE FFGEEK TEAM

LAST GAMEWEEK

A poor gameweek but one with minimal negative rank effect.

48 points against an average of 45 with a 5k red arrow arrow to a 77k overall rank.  Considering how worried I was about the gameweek as so many players were facing top 4 challenging teams I escaped rather lightly.

TRANSFERS

I decided in the end to make no transfers.  Supposedly the dates for the postponed games could be out around today so carrying over a transfer gives me a bit of flexibility.

You may want to read my FFGeek team plans article and double gameweeks article for a bit of context.  However when the rearranged fixtures are announced those articles will be largely irrelevant.

Last week I took out Aguero for Ibrahimovic to facilitate the Sanchez move, convincing myself I had done the right thing with the fixtures coming up of alternate players I would have to get out to facilitate the transfer.  Suddenly in the cold light of day it doesn’t seem like an appealing situation.  I feel like City and Aguero could go nuts.  I haven’t seen the captain poll results yet to see how much of a favourite he is but it has been on my mind I’m not going to lie.  To make it worse it also seems like I’m rather alone in my decision to do so.  The whole thing seems rather ironic given my faith in Aguero and how much that’s cost me this season and now I face the prospect of rank damage as I haven’t kept faith for long enough!  My hope now is that he isn’t that highly owned and difficult to get in if you don’t own him.  Also there are enough other options to dilute the negative effect.  Anyway it now is what it is so I’ll move on.  Luckily the travelling means I wont be able to watch the game.

With the fixture postponements dates coming up I decided to carry over the transfer.  Also the team didn’t look in bad shape fixture wise apart from the WBA defensive players and Brunt really is a midfielder which dilutes that issue.

TEAM SELECTION

Here’s the team:

A bit of a tricky one this week.  The dilemma was Holgate vs King vs Brunt.  Having Foster in goal due to Pickford playing Man Utd meant that I already had WBA defensive coverage but Brunt has so much attacking potential that it seemed a big decision to not play him. Holgate seemed to have limited upside with no attacking threat but in the end I kept my faith in the Chelsea defence and benched King.  Carroll’s injury doubt may make the decision irrelevant anyway

CAPTAIN PICK

I will be doing a captain article but for the moment my choice is Ibrahimovic.

If I make any changes due to news I will at least tweet them  so follow us for updates and news on twitter or facebook
