Here’s our fantasy premier league GW32 wildcard teams article where we pretend we are using our wildcard. In fact there’s 2 teams this week. 1 with a assuming you have a free hit and 1 without. It gives player suggestions with more longevity than just for the up coming gameweek.
fantasy premier league GW32 wildcard teams – the FFGeek imaginary wildcard
This article brings together the various earlier articles in the week.
Firstly I’ve done a number of articles this week which will give you wildcard suggestions including earlier articles on my wildcard thoughts for:
the FFGeek free hit gone team and
the FFGeek free hit intact team
There also a contributors wildcard article and a twitter wildcard template article
The below article is short and there are no stats. I’ve given links to articles below with all the detailed stats you’ll need if you want to investigate a player in more detail.
Player rankings defence and GK
There’s also our fixture ease article which gives player suggestions with good fixtures. You can also see who the popular transfers are in our bandwagons article .
The FFGeek Free Hit lost team’s imaginary wildcard
DGW and BGW teams by fixtures
People who read alot of my articles will be sick of seeing this but I find it a handy reference point
Further Background
The tricky thing about having no free hit chip is to maximise DGW34 players and then transition to the blank 35. Only Burnley have a DGW34 and a fixture in GW35. That to me rules out the bench boost in DGW34. I’m deferring mine to the DGW37. It does mean a random Salah use of the triple captain chip if you still have it..
Calculation for DGW34 and BGW35
7 DGW34/37 players
Then for GW35
4 GW35 players on the bench in DGW34
3 Burnley players
1 Salah
2 transfers if you carry over 2 free’s into GW35 for Arsenal , Man City, Swansea, West Ham and Newcastle players who all have a DGW37
Total of 10 players for GW35 and 10 DGW players for DGW34 plus Salah
Then for DGW37
5 DGW37 players (7 less 2 transfers for GW35 above)
2 GW35/DGW37 players from the above transfers
2 free transfers from GW35-GW37
4 bench players from DGW34
1 Salah
Total of 13 DGW37 players plus Salah
So here’s the team.
The circled players are the 4 bench players:
The team wasn’t quite as I wished. I definitely want Alonso over Christensen and wanted Wood over Barnes or Austin. However funds and the fact that I would like to see both Austin and Wood start before I selected them put me off. Alonso I just can’t get in.
I also would like Hazard over Willian but again funds and the fact that Willian is such excellent value stopped me. Lukaku I’m definitely not sure of but I feel he will be exceptionally highly owned and even captained so it seems to much of a risk not to have him. I had even thought of downgrading him to a cheaper striker and going for a Hazard Willian double but fear keeps me putting Lukaku in.
Not having Son in the team and a cheaper midfielder such as Gross would have given me funds for Wood and Alonso. Aubameyang is an interesting one. The next 2 home fixtures for Arsenal are so good that he’s worth having in the team in my view. He also makes a potential swap for Kane in GW34 possible if Kane’s fit although it does mess up the transition between gameweeks. I have thought of just taking the Kane pain until GW36/37. That would allow me to have Aubameyang until Lukaku in GW34 and then Lukaku to Kane for GW36/37. That would make a much stronger all round team for 34.
There’s no Man City in the team and I think they would be targeted for the 2 GW35 transfers. Perhaps Bernardo who hasn’t played that many minutes and perhaps John Stones who also could get a run out once the league is won.
So the team isn’t perfect as my funds are low at £102.8m and compromises have to be made but I’m reasonably comfortable with it although the Kane position does complicate it.
The free hit intact team imaginary wildcard
Here the objective is slightly different. The idea is to pack the team with as many DGW34 players as possible and use the bench boost in GW34. The use the free hit in GW35 and then 2 transfers for the anticipated DGW37. Kane would be the triple captain in that scenario and should be no issue in getting 11 DGW players for the anticipated 37.
Here’s the team:
So alot simpler with the pool of players being quite limited. The only exceptions were Salah (obviously), Robertson as the cheap defensive options weren’t great and Aubameyang for the 2 excellent home fixtures. 2 transfers could being in Kane for Aubameyang for DGW34 if needed. However if Kane isn’t needed he becomes a bit of a useless pile of money for GW34. So again Aubameyang for 32 and 33 and then Lukaku for 34 could be alternative. Then switching to Kane in 37 having ditched Lukaku.
Otherwise the team and the issues are similar to the above team. Luckily, I still have another week for these decisions.
Hope you found it useful and there’s alot of articles in the links to look at for further reading
