fantasy premier league GW35 tips – my imaginary wildcard

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s our fantasy premier league GW35 tips article where we pretend to have a wildcard to use.  It just gives player picks which have more longevity than just the next gameweek

fantasy premier league GW35 tips – my imaginary wildcard

Firstly here’s the team.  I will warn you that the value is unrealistic at around in £107.0m.  However I give some suggestions for cheaper options.  Remember this is for player suggestions rather than a real scenario as unless you’ve got real problems fielding something like 11 players I wouldn’t recommend wildcarding now.  Unfortunately I don’t have time for stats so it’s just talking the players through

Single and double gameweekers

Here’s my table explaining the relationship between GW35 and GW37

BGW35 (do play)DGW37 (2 games)
LiverpoolLiverpool
Newcastle
Man City
Arsenal
WBA
West Ham
Watford
Everton
Man Utd
SunderlandSunderland
Norwich
ChelseaChelsea

The basic conundrum here is that there are 3 teams with a game in GW35 and a DGW37.

Firstly Liverpool who have progressed in the Europa League and have shown mass rotation as how they will deal with the situation.  This does surprise me somewhat as they do have an outside champions league chance and a Europa League place next season.  If you want to gamble though there are plenty of options in the defence and then Coutinho, Milner and Sturridge.

Next Sunderland who in my view only really have Van Aanholt/Kone or Defoe as options.  They need to win to avoid relegation so no thoughts of beaches here.

As for Chelsea they have been rotating through the “experimentation” of the manager as they have nothing to play for.  It’s possible you could gamble on Ivanovic and Azpilicueta and maybe Loftus-Cheek as a cheapie but everything in attack is a gametime gamble

Here’s how the table relates to my team

BGW35 (do play)DGW37 (2 games)
MignoletMignolet
 Smalling
Walker
Bellerin
Simpson
 Cresswell
 FirminoFirmino
 King
 Sanchez
 Payet
 Alli
Kane
 Aguero
 Pelle
+ 2 transfers

So only 7 DGW players for DGW37.  If you wanted to squeeze more then Defoe could replace Pelle as a secure option.  Kone or Van Aanholt could replace Simpson for another DGW player. If you really wanted to roll the rotation risk dice you could go for Costa or Sturridge.  Pedro or Coutinho for Alli could also be abother rotation gamble if you feel inclined.

The Team

Goalkeeper

So I’m still very wary over the Liverpool defence which is why I’ve gone back to Mignolet as the secure option even though it costly me last time due to Sakho’s goal.

The 2nd keeper isn’t that relevant but Robles is cheap and offers a DGW if say Mignolet gets injured.

Defence

The Man Utd defence definitely warrants representation with a DGW and a 4th spot to fight for.  . Unfortunately there’s gametime risk it seems with everyone apart from Smalling. My 2nd choice apart from De Gea would be Rojo but he’s not secure thats for sure

In the Spurs defence I’ve gone for Walker.  He’s the cheapest in the lineup and it seems rotation of the full backs has ended in the title run in.  Some good fixtures for Arsenal so I’ve gone for Bellerin again for security.  They also will be looking to secure third at least so no loss of motivation there.

Simpson may not have the bonus or attacking potential of Fuchs or Huth but he’s cheap and gametime secure in their fight for the title.  Then I’ve gone for West Ham’s attacking potential of Cresswell as West Ham are still in the Champs League hunt or the Europa League.  Reid is probably the best cheap option.

Midfield

Difficult to pick between Coutinho and Firmino but I’ve gone for Firmino.  King is the cheap in form striker classified as a midfielder.

Sanchez is in the essential status on current form.  Payet is a good captain option for DGW37.  Alli is also an in form player.

Forwards

Aguero is essential even with the distration of the Champions league.  Kane as well .

The 3rd striker is more contentious.  Pelle has form and an outside chance of Europe.  Also Villa next but Defoe is a secure alternative as I mentioned above.  Then there’s the double gameweek gambles as I also mentioned above of Sturridge and Costa

Thats it hope it provided you with some food for thought
