fantasy premier league GW35 tips – the bandwagons and sinking ships

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s our fantasy premier league GW35 tips article where we outline the bandwagons and sinking ships so far for Gameweek 35. These are the 5 most transferred in and out players so far in the gameweek. Just a reminder that these are purely driven by stats from the FPL site and not my view of them. I’ve also changed the format with a table of stats for easy comparison followed by the ususal narrative and the fixtures to the end of the season

So the new format sees a table of stats for easy reference of the various players with narrative and the fixtures below the table to the end of the season. The table also has a key to understand the headings.  The players were picked as of this morning and include stats up to but before the Newcastle v Man City game tonight.  There’s a table of stats plus a key beneath.  Below that there’s some narrative on each player plus the fixtures to the end of the season.  I also specifically point out any blanks and DGWs.  Remember there’s still Wednesday and Thursday games to go so this needs to be considered before any transfers in at least.

The Bandwagons

These are the 5 most transferred in players so far in the gameweek

Pelle

The £7.9m Southampton forward has finally found some form after a pretty ordinary inconsistent season.  A game in the blank week of GW35.

Gameweek 35 Aston Villa (A)
Gameweek 36 Man City (H)
Gameweek 37 Spurs (A)
Gameweek 38 Crystal Palace (H)

Rashford

The £4.6m Man Utd forward is a bit of an odd transfer considering he doesn’t have a game in GW35.  I would also question the certainty of his place given his age and Rooney back plus Martial in the wings.  A blank GW35 but a DGW37

Gameweek 35 –
Gameweek 36 Leicester (H)
Gameweek 37 Norwich (A)
Gameweek 37 West Ham (A)
Gameweek 38 Bournemouth (H)

Kane

The £10.2m Spurs forward comes off the back of a sensational 2 goal performance against Stoke to top off fantastic recent form.  Also has penalty duties.  A game in GW35.

Gameweek 35 West Brom (H)
Gameweek 36 Chelsea (A)
Gameweek 37 Southampton (H)
Gameweek 38 Newcastle (A)

Aguero

The £13.5m Man City forward completed a fantastic hat trick against Chelsea again on the back of fantastic recent form.  Has pens.  Has the advantage of a fixture in GW35.

Gameweek 35 Stoke (H)
Gameweek 36 Southampton (A)
Gameweek 37 Arsenal (H)
Gameweek 38 Swansea (A)

Alli

The young Spurs £6.1m CAM got an amazing 2 goals against Stoke to continue a sensational season.  Fantastic value for this position for a title chasing team.  A game in GW35.

Gameweek 35 West Brom (H)
Gameweek 36 Chelsea (A)
Gameweek 37 Southampton (H)
Gameweek 38 Newcastle (A)

The Sinking Ships

These are the 5 most transferred out players so far in the gameweek

Vardy

The £7.6m Leicester striker was sent off for a 2nd yellow card for simulation at the weekend and now faces a minimum 1 game suspension.  However his fingerpoiting protestations at the ref while being sent off mean there is a good chance more will follow.  Not surprising there are sales

Gameweek 35 Swansea (H)
Gameweek 36 Man Utd (A)
Gameweek 37 Everton (H)
Gameweek 38 Chelsea (A)

Lukaku

The £9.0m striker missed the weekend GW34 game with an injury and it’s now 4 games without a return.  Looks like he should be fit for the 2nd GW34 game.  Also has pens.  No GW35 fixture but does have a DGW37

Gameweek 35 –
Gameweek 36 Bournemouth (H)
Gameweek 37 Leicester (A)
Gameweek 37 Sunderland (A)
Gameweek 38 Norwich (H)

Barkley

The £7.2m Evertton CAM midfielder hasn’t returned a goal or assist for 9 games.  Add to that an injury from the last game (although it appears to have cleared up) plus no game in GW35 and you’ve got a nailed on recipe for sales.  Does have a DGW37 though

Gameweek 35 –
Gameweek 36 Bournemouth (H)
Gameweek 37 Leicester (A)
Gameweek 37 Sunderland (A)
Gameweek 38 Norwich (H)

Martial

The £7.7m Man Utd forward was rested rather than dropped for the weekend game against Villa although the Palace game should settle that position.  However no fixture in GW35 but a DGW37

Gameweek 35 –
Gameweek 36 Leicester (H)
Gameweek 37 Norwich (A)
Gameweek 37 West Ham (A)
Gameweek 38 Bournemouth (H)

Payet

The £8.5m West Ham midfielder has been one of the sensations of the season and one of the captain options for the DGW37.  I can only think that a blank GW35 plus 2 games without a return have triggered the sales

Gameweek 35 –
Gameweek 36 West Brom (A)
Gameweek 37 Swansea (H)
Gameweek 37 Man Utd (H)
Gameweek 38 Stoke (A)
