Fantasy Premier League

Here’s my picks for fantasy premier league GW35.    If you haven’t seen the post before, its just a team for this gameweek.  No other fixtures are taken into account.    The point of the GW35 picks post is just to help you with any last minute transfer decisions.  If you think that someone has a good chance of points in GW35 over someone else than maybe that will swing the argument.  The teams not meant to be affordable either by the way.  Its the best for GW35 despite cost.    The comments are very brief but there’s more stats and details on players in my “ones to watch” articles

Here’s the team:

gw35ffgpicks

Marshall

The 2nd worst home defence against the 5th worst away attack.  Anything could happen.  However Marshall is the top save point scorer and 3rd best bonus points for GKs.  So you should get your reward in some way

Adrian

These are the games that West Ham specialise in clean sheets.  Squeezing clean sheets against the  lower placed teams.  As for Palace, it’s easy to get carried away with the Palace attack scoring 3 goals in 2 consecutive away games to forget that they only scored 1 goal in 6 away games before that.

Ivanovic

Chelsea are unquestionably the best defensive team in the league this season.  Sunderland aren’t one of the worst sides away and will be bouyed by their performance at City but this has clean sheet written all over it.  The Champions league games sees rotation as the major risk for Chelsea defenders.  Ivanovic looks to  have the least alternate options

Delaney

With 2 clean sheets in their last 4 away games Palace arent just a home defensive side anymore.  In fact they are 6/7 ranked away defence.  West Ham aren’t too bad at home only blanking 5 times in 17 games but Palace are on a defensive roll at the moment

Skrtel

The top goal scoring defensive player at the moment with 6 goals.  The Liverpool defence away has only collected 4 clean sheets in 17 games.  However Norwich have a home record that is better than only Sunderlands.  They’ve blanked at home 6 times in 17 games and only Sunderland have scored less goals.

Koscielny

Hull have blanked 6 times in 17 games on their own ground and only scored more than 1 goal on their own ground on 3 occasions.  Arsenal fighting for 4th place don’t have the greatest away record but have a good chance of a clean sheet here.  Koscielny is the bonus magnet plus acrries a reasonable attacking threat

Zabaleta

Despite the shock of Sunderland scoring 2 they have a good home record with 8 clean sheets in 16 games.  Its pretty much take your pick of Zabaleta or Kompany.  Zabaleta is a little less injury prone.

Eriksen

Top of the form charts for midfielders.  46 fpl points in the last 5 games and returning in 3 out of 5 games.  No one has conceded more goals than Fulham away

Lallana

In a little bit of a dip with only 2 returning games in his last 5 but one of the midielders of the season can produce a 10 point haul when you least expect it.  Villa are in all sorts of trouble on and off the field.  Only Cardiff and Fulham have conceded more goals at home

Nasri

With Silva reported as being out at home to WBA this brings Nasri centre stage as the creative force.  He’s certainly in the form to do it with 31 points and 3 returning games in his last 5 matches.  WBA away have only kept 3 clean sheets and have conceded more than 1 goal on 7 occasions in 16 games.

Gerrard

He maybe one of the busiest CDMs in the premier league in front of a fairly unpredictable defence and behind some of the more attacking midfielders in the league.  However penalties, corners and indirect free kicks have seen the points rolling in consistently.  The way Saurez was throwing himself to the ground against City certainly he’s there trying to increase Stevie Gs penalty count.  Norwich have one of the better home records in the premier league and are fighting for their lives.  Liverpool though are on a wave of expectation and form and have ripped up many a defensive form team this season.  Oh and its 34 fpl points in the last 5 games and 3 out of 5 returning games

Salah

Ineligible for the Champions League Salah has hit the premier league by storm with his pace on the counter.  2 goals and an assist in his first 4 games (only 2 of which were starts) and a 0.7% ownership make him the perfect differential

Adebayor

Dipped a little with only 22 points in his last 5 games and 2 returning matches but thats has to be seen in the context of a consistent scoring record since coming back into the side.  As I said for Eriksen, no one has conceded more than Fulham away.

Aguero

A slow return not getting to 60 minutes in the 2 games and only the 1 assist.  The only player who rivals Suarez for returns though so a must have.  Opposition are irrelevant but in this case WBA are good opposition to have

Suarez

43 points in his last 5 games.  Returned in all 5.  Either scored or assisted in 86% of his games this season.  Need I say more?
