Some words on a few teams
Man City
The Swansea game at least hinted at a minimum of some rotation going forward. How much and who is the question? The West Ham game may tell us more about the last 3 games following that lineup. Finding someone who will play both DGW37 games is tricky. If you look for someone that he would want to give more gametime to and is invested in for the future you would say Laporte but who knows?
Man Utd
I’d be surprised if Mourinho doesn’t want to take a no risks approach to finishing second. If that is the case I think £5.6m Smalling should play both DGW37 games but I think the less risky options are GK De Gea and Valencia
Arsenal
The 2 legged semi final after GW35 and GW36 are the stated priority so who knows what team will be put out in the premier league.
Player Suggestions for GW36
Here we are looking for players with a decent DGW37, in a strong defence with a good fixture next
De Gea Man Utd – not the greatest fixture to introduce him so you could wait until DGW37 but with Romero injured he looks a safe DGW37 bet
Vertonghen Spurs – If you’re going to go for a Spurs defender now is the time to do it with Watford at home next. £5.8m Davies doesn’t save you much but gives more attacking potential. DGW37 for Davies does depend on Rose not recovering from injury but don’t look to Spurs for any helpful info.
Azpilicueta Chelsea – Good Chelsea fixture next. You could wait for £7.1m Alonso to come back from suspension in DGW37. Everyone else has some risk to them
Dummett Newcastle – if you’re looking for a cheap double pick home to WBA in GW36 is the time to roll the dice for Dummett who’s great value
Cedric Southampton – a bit more of a stretch as I’m sceptical on the quality of the defence but the next fixture and DGW37 could be worse fixtures.
