Here’s last weeks team points:

Got to be happy with a 26k green arrow and a 22k overall rank. Only Holgate and Gabbiadini failed. You know when Capoue scores against Chelsea that your lucks in
Interestingly my worry about my team value for the wildcard didn’t come true as I ended up beating 7 of the 10 top FPL managers I follow in DGW37 all of which have a much better value than me.
When I look back at last weeks article I see my 50/50 was between Holding and Ben Davies which obviously I got wrong although only to the tune of 4 points I think so not the end of the world
Transfer dilemmas
This week my decision has been between Gabbiadini out for Origi or Alli out for Coutinho.
Gabbiadini has been pretty hopeless, seen a big drop in underlying stats and is a substitution magnet for a manager who just can’t help tinkering. Recently I saw a stat saying that he was the manager who had made the 4th most changes this season. Incredible considering they had no European football. I don’t need to tell you who made the most changes. Pep-Puel has also said that Charlie Austin could start for this game.
Origi in would be the change that incrementally improved the team although with Firmino looking like he maybe fit then he isn’t 100% nailed in my mind.
Coutinho is probably the defensive rank drop minimising target for me. I’m not taking a hit just for 1 game so the choice to replace him comes down to the 2 gametime doubts of Alli and Hazard. Hazard out seems to be a popular choice as he played on Monday and I think it’s quite possible he will be rested. I also think he could play given that it would be close to 2 weeks with no game before the FA Cup final if he didn’t. I think Alli is less likely to play given Eriksen was rested on Thursday and 3 days between games is a short time. Hull away should be a harder game too.
In the end I’ve come so far for a rank of 22k that I don’t want some Coutinho captaining to knock it back. Alli has been sold in reasonable numbers although only half what Hazard has been.
So in the end my conservative playing nature got the best of me and I took out Alli for Coutinho.
Team Selection
The only question really was Stephens or Gabbiadini. In the end I stuck with 3-4-3 and played Gabbiadini even if he is a decent sub risk.

Captain choice.
You may have read my captain choice article. It wasn’t conclusive. Also the polls starting at different times made it difficult to even pick a defensive rank minimising damage option. In the end I went for Kane with Coutinho vice although it wasn’t done with any confidence as the decision was so difficult.
