These 10 managers have not finished outside the overall rank of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons. Considering how variable the last 3 years have been this is remarkable consistency and shows an ability to adapt strategy in different seasons. It also gives you a view other than my own on strategy and player selection. It was another difficult week for the managers.

THE 10 MANAGERS STATS
This season we welcome back 4 of last seasons managers who were the subject of our article. We add to that a new 6 managers. Stats of these managers are unbelievable and every bit as impressive as last season
1. The overall average finishing overall rank of the top 10 managers in the last 3 seasons is 2,963
2. The top 10 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons (ie 30 times playing)
3. All 10 have finished in the top 1,000 in the last 3 seasons
GAMEWEEK REVIEW
The bad start continues for the top 10 FPL managers. 7 of the 10 had red arrows.
The average score of the managers in GW3 was 46 compared to the average of 43. Thats 3 points and 7% above the average score. High score of the 10 was 57. The low score was 34. A spread of 23 for a fairly low scoring gameweek. It’s also worth noting that this was done against a background of a number of managers taking point deductions for additional transfers.
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers saw a worsening to 1.288 million compared to 1.176 million in the last gameweek. An average rank worsening of 112k. The best rank is 359k and the lowest 2.577 million. If you calculated the median rank then that worsened to 1.361 million compared to 1.147 million last gameweek. A worsening of rank of 214k. At the moment only 4 have overall ranks inside 1 million.
The average value sees a slight improvement to £100.4m from £100.3m
If you’re interested my score was poor at 43 and resulted in a 97k red arrow to 317k . I had a higher score than only 3 the 10 managers not taking into account hits. My overall rank is now 317k compared to 220k last gameweek. A worsening of rank of 97k. However I’m bizarrely ahead in OR terms of all 10 of the top managers. My team value is the same as the last gameweek at £100.3m. My total score is 179 points.
