fantasy premier league GW5 – analysing 10 top FPL managers

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s the latest  article reviewing 10 top FPL managers and how they did in FPL gameweek 4 but also what theyre planning for GW5. These aren’t just managers successful now but managers who have been successful for the last 3 years. The 10 managers have never been outside the top 10,000 in the last 3 years. These articles give you another perspective apart from mine. They should also give you confidence if theyre holding or selling a player when you are.

Team source

Bony and Siggy are the only players in the 10 FPL managers teams over £6.0m that are outside the top 4 challenging teams of Man City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Spurs and Man Utd.

High ownership players

The 6 players over 30% ownership prior to the transfer deadline were:

Team structure

GKs

4/10 FPL managers played elite keepers.

3/10 FPL managers played rotating home and away cheapies

3/10 just played 1 cheapie with the teams reserve GK as cover

In defence

3/10 FPL managers had 0 defenders from the top 7 teams as I define them

2/10 FPL managers had 1 defender from the top 7 teams

3/10 FPL managers had 2 defenders from the top 7 teams

2/10 FPL managers had 3 defenders from the top 7 teams

In midfield

Whether they played 5 or 4 midfielders only 1 played 2 rotating cheapies the rest proper midfielders and a cheap reserve.  Generally a cheaper forward or defender was employed in order to acheive this.

The forwards

3 teams had 3 forwards over £10m the rest playing 3-4-3 jad one cheaper player with Welbeck being the most common.

Here’s a team to summarise the top 10 current position.  It’s under £101.0m in value
