Fantasy Premier League, fixture ease schedule

Here’s our fantasy premier league GW5 fixture ease article where we look at the teams with the best attacking fixtures from GW5 over a 3 and 6 gameweek period. There’s also some attacking player suggestions with their basic stats and their first 6 fixtures.

FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW5 FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

Just to remind you if you don’t remember it from last season. The team ranked 1 has the best fixtures from an attacking view point over the next 3 weeks. There are an extra columns for the next 6 weeks.

I’ve marked in green the teams that have the best fixtures over the first 3 weeks and 6 weeks and but also with a good next fixture.  These will be the teams that I will give attacking player suggestions to.  This week was a bit tricky with only Spurs meeting the criteria of top 6 for 3 and 6 gameweeks.  So I’ve looked at the next best of good short term including the next fixture and longer term.  Only Leicester filled that criteria.  Everton would have except for having Man Utd away next.

ATTACKING PLAYER SUGGESTIONS

So I’m going to do attacking player suggestions from the 2 clubs in green  as explained above

Spurs

Hard to look past £12.4m CF and penalty taker Harry Kane who’s fantastic underlying stats finally came in with 2 goals against Everton at the weekend.  Ignore the 4.3 Points Per Match (PPM) there’s alot more to come.

Then there’s the 2 contrasting mids.  Firstly there’s the goals scoring Mid and virtual striker in £9.5m Dele Alli.  2 goals in his first 4 and a PPM of 5.5.

Then there’s set piece man and assist biased playmaking Mid  in £9.7m Eriksen.  He’s got a PPM of 7.5 and has 3 assists and a goal in his first 4.

Who you choose out of those 2 Mids depends on whether you prefer goal scoring Mids or assist based set piece players.  Last season they ended up with very close points totals.

West Ham (A)
Huddersfield (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Liverpool (H)
Man Utd (A)

Leicester

There are 3 players here for me.  £8.5m forward Vardy, £8.5m Mid Mahrez and if you’re on for a punt £5.5m Okazaki

Vardy (PPM 6.0)  leads the line and has 3 goals in the campaign so far scoring in 2 of the 4 games.  While 3 goals in your first 4 games is excellent, his underlying stats are nothing special.  However he has played against 3 of the 4 expected top 7 so it’s a show of faith in ability and fixtures  rather than an analysed pick on his underlying stats.

Then there’s his partner in crime in their title winning season Mahrez (PPM 5.0).  He’s started the season with 3 assists in his first 2 games but then blanked in his last 2.  That was against Man Utd and Chelsea so it’s not anything to hold against him.  Like Vardy though his underlying stats are nothing special although given the fixtures explainable.

Lastly there’s a punt in Okazaki (PPM 4.7).  He missed the last game, apparently due to exertions playing for Japan in the International break. He’s scored 2 goals in the first 3 games and posted good underlying stats.  He should get back in the team but it’s always a risk when you miss 1 match.  He’s also a potential sub magnet.  He was taken off in GW3 after 59 minutes and has Slimani and Iheanacho as willing replacements not only as subs but permanently.

Huddersfield (A)
Liverpool (H)
Bournemouth (A)
West Brom (H)
Swansea (A)
Everton (H)
