Here’s our fantasy premier league GW5 tips article where we analyse the teams of 10 top FPL managers. These 10 managers have not finished outside the overall rank of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons. Considering how variable the last 3 years have been this is remarkable consistency and shows an ability to adapt strategy in different seasons. It also gives you a view other than my own on strategy and player selection.

This season we welcome back 4 of last seasons managers who were the subject of our article. We add to that a new 6 managers. Stats of these managers are unbelievable and every bit as impressive as last season
1. The overall average finishing overall rank of the top 10 managers in the last 3 seasons is 2,963
2. The top 10 FPL managers have not been out of the top 10k in the last 3 seasons (ie 30 times playing)
3. All 10 have finished in the top 1,000 in the last 3 seasons
GAMEWEEK REVIEW
An improving week for the top 10 FPL managers. All 10 had green arrows.
The average score of the managers in GW4 was 55 compared to the average of 44. Thats 11 points and 25% above the average score. High score of the 10 was 64. The low score was 45. A spread of 19 for a fairly average scoring gameweek.
The average overall rank of the top 10 FPL managers saw a big improvement to 857k million compared to 1.288 million in the last gameweek. An average rank improvement of 431k. The best rank is 153k and the lowest 1.736 million. If you calculated the median rank then that improved to 725k compared to 1.361 million last gameweek. An improvement of rank of 636k. Now only 2 have overall ranks outside 1 million.
The average value sees an improvement to £100.6m from £100.4m
If you’re interested my score was good at 63 with no hits and resulted in a 268k green arrow from 317k overall rank to 49k . I had a higher score than all but 2 the 10 managers. However I’m ahead in OR terms of all 10 of the top managers. My team value is slightly up on the last gameweek at £100.5m. My total score is 242 points.

As we said last week, the celebrity manager we followed last season finished around the 20k mark so he’s not in the group this season. This season were going to focus on the manager each week who had the highest finish with an amazing overall rank of 15 last season believe it or not.
This week he took a 4 point hit transferring in Mbemba for Danilo and Firmino for Mounie for -4 proving even the best get it wrong sometimes. His score this week was 58 and his rank 153k. An improvement of 206k from last weeks OR of 359k. His points otal is 232. He’s the top ranked of the 10 FPL managers

His score of 64 took him to 439k

This score of 45 also took him to 569k. Surprisingly this was one of the wildcard teams
