FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE GW7 FIXTURE TRACKER

FIXTURE EASE SCHEDULE

Just to remind you if you don’t remember it from last season. The team ranked 1 has the best fixtures from an attacking view point over the next 3 weeks. There are an extra columns for the next 6 weeks.

I’ve marked in green the teams that have the best fixtures over the first 3 weeks and 6 weeks and but also with a good next fixture. These will be the teams that I will give attacking player suggestions to.

PLAYER SUGGESTIONS

Here are some attacking player suggestions from teams that are in the best next 3 and 6 fixtures.  I normally only go down to rank 6 from both sets of fixtures but I went 1 further for Spurs this week as the other teams were difficult pickings to say the least

WEST HAM

This is a tricky one at the moment.  Chicharito has had some positional issues as Bilic has played him on the flank.  Antonio has a potential injury issue and hasn’t really produced the form we know he can.  Arnautovic has some possibilities but has sub magnet potential with the amount of attacking midfielders in the team.  Andy Carroll didn’t start but performed impressively.

So for the moment it’s a roll of the dice for £7.0m forward Chicharito (Points per Match 4.2) and £6.9m Mid Arnautovic (PPM 0.8)

There’s no doubting Chicharito’s poacher potential although that has been derailed somewhat by the flank position given to him when Carroll has been on the pitch.  However that changed against Spurs and they played more as a pair.  We know he can score.  3 goals in 6 games is good and his underlying stats while not excellent are reasonably good

I actually like Arnautovic.  He plays very advanced and makes great runs from out to in and is a goal scoring thereat.  However so far his form has not been great and 2 starts and 2 sub appearances have yet to yield a return.  Hi underlying stats are also ordinary to say the least.  It’s a fixture play pure and simple.

Despite some of the clean sheets they’ve got,  to me there is still no better entry point for a transfer than Swansea who are next

Swansea (H)
Burnley (A)
Brighton (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Liverpool (H)
Watford (A)

SWANSEA

Unfortunately there’s no one I’d suggest for Swansea at the moment.  Abraham despite scoring was benched so the striker position comes with some risk.  There’s no one in the midfield although I would say that Tom Carroll is 2nd in the £4.5m midfielder stakes behind Palace’s Loftus Cheek.  That’s probably only relevant if you’re wildcarding as using transfers to switch around your £4.5m midfielder seems a bit of a luxury transfer

West Ham (A)
Huddersfield (H)
Leicester (H)
Arsenal (A)
Brighton (H)
Burnley (A)

EVERTON

Lack of form and selection changes make it difficult to suggest anyone at the moment.  Niasse and Calvert Lewin were the standout players from the weekend but both aren’t secure in their gametime at the moment.  Rooney has been moved around positionally and his tactical substitution at the weekend, not the injury apparently,  makes him a risk.  Sigurdsson is the proven FPL performer of recent years

So for the moment my suggestion is limited to Sigurdsson purely for fixtures, his proven history in the PL and set pieces.  His form has been questionable to say the least as he’s yet to open his account in 4 starts and 1 sub appearance.  There’s little in the underlying stats to give you hope.   However they have had tough fixtures. Also, for me he’s too expensive when you can get say David Silva for a similar price.  .

Burnley (H)
Brighton (A)
Arsenal (H)
Leicester (A)
Watford (H)
Crystal Palace (A)

SOUTHAMPTON

It’s hard to recommend anyone at the moment when they’ve only scored 5 goals in the first 6 games and 3 of those were in 1 game against West Ham.

For me with the striker position being uncertain there’s only Tadic and possibly Steven Davis worth considering

£6.5m Mid Tadic (3.0m PPM) only has the 1 goal in the first 6 matches.  That was from the penalty spot and he did his best to miss that.  However he does at least have some decent underlying stats.  Its still a pure fixture play though.

£5.1m Mid Steven Davis is the CAM and has a goal and assist to his name in 6 starts.  His underlying stats are pretty ordinary but at least he’s cheap and positionally good.

SPURS

There are 3 options here Kane, Alli and Eriksen.

£12.5m forward Kane (5.3 PPM) proved his doubters wrong with 2 goals against West Ham taking his total to 4 in 6 starts.  His underlying stats are good as well.

£9.5m Alli (PPM 5.5) is the goal scoring midfielder who is virtually another striker. 2 goals and 2 assists in 6 games  after his 2 assist haul against West Ham.  His underlying stats are ok .  He’s banned from 2 more UCL games which is good for his PL gametime.

£9.7m Mid Eriksen (7.0 PPM) is the set piece man and creator within the team. He’s off to a flier with 2 goals and 3 assists in 6 games. For me the only negative is that he drops too deep to collect the ball too often.  His underlying assist stats should be better in my mind.

2 great fixtures next although after very mixed

Huddersfield (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Liverpool (H)
Man Utd (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Arsenal (A)
