Well if you saw my earlier article this week you’ll see that I transfered out the injured Callum Wilson for Jamie Vardy.  At the moment I haven’t done another transfer.  So here’s how the team is lining up:

Transfers

No further transfers after the Wilson to Vardy transfer earlier in the week.   I don’t make early transfers often and one of the reasons is the ability to prevaricate the whole week over what transfer you do and come up with new ideas, rationale etc.  In retrospect I did think that a transfer of someone every cheap in attack, maybe Ighalo at £5.2m or even cheaper say Jerome or Ayoze Perez would give me the chance to ultimately aim to have De Bruyne and Payet in midfield in a 3-5-2 which is a trend were starting to see with the 10 top FPL managers I follow.  I think in future I’m going to accept my need for long winded analysis as something necessary and only do late in the week transfers

I’ve also been thinking about Shaqiri out and a hit for Payet but I’ve resisted it at the moment.  A nights sleep could change things.  He seeems a good FPL option and if ever you’re going to get someone playing Sunderland is the time to do it.  He does have injury issues and this is what Hughes was saying in the latest press today:

“We will have to see how he is over the coming hours, because he hasn’t trained with the group yet this week,” Stoke manager Mark Hughes told the club’s website on Thursday.

“He will go home and rest now, and hopefully he can come in tomorrow and join in the session with the rest of the lads.

“If he does that, and suffers no effects from it, then he will certainly be in my thoughts. If not then we won’t take any chances.”

Westwood coming off the bench isn’t the worst sub in the world though in a fixture that should see goals.  Lets see what a nights sleep brings.

Team selection

Team selection couldn’t be easier.  No need even for the Bookies clean sheet odds.  I’m sticking with Myhill in goal although home to WBA in theory is a better clean sheet if McCarthy were to regain his place.  In defence with Targett and Gomez unlikely to play and away to Chelsea and Everton respectively sealed the decsion to bench them.  Westwood obviously is first sub.  I’m just hoping for no injuries so eventually I can sort out the defence.  I believe that good defensive choices is a good way of improving your ranking and sitting there been unable to deal with them is a complete pain

The Captain choice

Can Aguero come out of the last chance saloon in Sanchez’s foosteps at home to Newcastle.  No choice for me but if he blanks anything could happen in terms of sales although Bournemouth at home next may mitigate that.   Ill do the captain article next.
