If you had seen my midweek wildcard article you’ll know I was choosing between 3 teams. I won’t go over them again but here’s the poll result if you do remember them
Very close vote and in the end I’ve gone for a team based on the first 1.
So here’s where I’ve got to. Still 1 or 2 choices to be made but it’s pretty much there subject to any overnight light bulb moments
A few things to mention
So in some ways the team isn’t that different to my previous team and if I hadn’t pre decided on the wildcard and gone for Jesus instead of Lacazette I could have had a roughly similar team. However it is what it is.
There’s little point in going over what you have seen from previous articles. I’m disappointed not to have any Chelsea players but Hazard was impossible unless I dumped Jesus. Jesus apart from being a great option (assuming he starts) also gives the option to flip to Morata or Aguero if I want to in 2 weeks.
I’ve got £0.5m in the bank and could have had more if I really worked at it to do a straight flip to Aguero next week if necessary but decided against it as it did become a bit of a stretch. I will endeavour to carry over a transfer and do it in 2 weeks if needed.
A Chelsea defender again was just too difficult for the money. Again I would have had to sacrifice A City defender. I think the City defence is the better one to invest in.
I’ve gone for Stones instead of Otamendi. I was hoping Pep would say something about Otamendi and Jesus at the press conference but he didn’t which was disappointing although nothing surprises me with him. I just couldn’t take the vision of both him and Jesus benched after their South American International break so I’ve gone for Stones.
I’m ignoring the Rose back in training stuff it’s just too boring to even mention. Whatever is all I’ve got to say I’ll take the risk on Davies.
Whats stopping the last few transfers
Not fully decided on Sterling v Silva (covered by Salah) but pretty sure Sterling.
If Aguero comes back then he’s probably enough attacking investment in City so I’ll flip Sterling out at that stage. The contrary position is that if I go for Morata not Aguero then I may want the security of Silva but to be honest I’m pretty sure I will flip to Aguero.
Salah’s is definitely coming back. I have to much faith in him irrespective of fixtures. I’ve got a price rise in Silva so wanted to be sure over night.
I’m also doing Loftus Cheek. I could have confirmed I’ll just check the price movements tonight on the excellent price change site FPL statstics
Money in the bank
If I go with Sterling then I have £0.5m in the bank. I could use that for Cedric over Femenia or to get another £4.5m GK. Or just leave it in the bank. I haven’t decided yet. Cedric would mean I play 5-3-2 for GW8 and bench C-M which seems pretty out there.
Captain and formation
Captain will be Kane. As the team stands the formation will be 4-3-3 with Femenia, Carroll and Loftus Cheek on the bench.
