How to spend £0.5m
If you read last nights article you’ll know one of the remaining things was what to do with £0.5m I suddenly had to spend. Well in the end I spent it on Cedric. There were no attackers worth upgrading Carroll to at that price and banking it was not ever going to happen so I went for Cedric.
I much prefer Otamendi to Stones but the nightmare of him not playing was just too much. He should do, Pep would have to play Danilo or Mangala instead and I can’t see that but I just couldn’t stand the thought of it. With Jesus also not out of the question as a benching it was just too much
The lineup and captain
Kane was always going to be the captain and putting Cedric in meant I didn’t have to play Choupo Moting at City. 5 defenders wow. Can’t remember the last time I did that.
Overall thoughts
To be honest I haven’t got the post wildcard glow you should have (if that doesn’t sound too ridiculous?). I feel like the teams not that different, there’s no Chelsea player, no Richarlison and worries over Jesus playing. I’ve seen other teams like Alex Ball’s WC that I like the look of better as it seems far bolder. Anyway it’s done time to move on.
