Fantasy premier league imaginary team – just for gameweek 10 only

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s an imaginary fantasy premier league team solely picked for GW10,   No other fixtures taken into account, just  gameweek 10.

Its also purely theoretical and costs too much to be a real team.  The reasoning?  Just to help you pick a player if you’re a little unsure who to pick.   The chance of immediate points with someone from this team may sway you.  Please excuse the fact that I’m only doing the  briefest of comments.  Some of  the  players are covered in previous articles this week in my fantasy premier league “ones to watch” articles and defenders in my clean sheet article.  By the way I wont pick 2 strikers or 2 midfielders or 2 defenders from the same club.  Ill also pick the defender with the best chance of the bonus or attacking points irrespective of the price although in the commentary I may give a steer on the value option. So don’t be confused about me selecting someone different from the “ones to watch” articles as that takes a longer term and more value view than this.  I’ll put links to my “ones to watch” articles for more information

Swansea
Remove player i
Vorm
£5.0
I’ve gone for Vorm in goal as the Swansea representative for the GW10 team although you have the options of Williams for bonus points, Rangel for attacking potential and Taylor for budget
West Brom
Remove player i
Myhill
£4.5
I’ve gone for Myhill as the other GK choice.  He’s a cheapie in for the injured Foster.  Ridgewell is my pick of the defenders for WBA.  Home to Palace is a great chance for a clean sheet
Chelsea
Remove player i
Terry
£6.4
I’ve gone for Cole in the “ones to watch ” articles  due to gametime security but Terry for GW10.  He didn’t play in the Capital One cup so although I’m doubtful of a Chelsea clean sheet without Coloccini and Taylor, Terry must have some set piece goal potential
Southampton
Remove player i
Lovren
£5.7
You’ve always got a clean sheet chance against Stoke.  I’ve gone for Clyne as the budget £4.6m option in my “ones to watch ” articles but if you’re swimming in cash Lovren is the one most likely to get bonus and attacking points
Man City
Remove player i
Nastasic
£5.5
Of all the games this weekend, you have to think this is the best chance for a clean sheet.  I’ve gone for Nastasic for bonus.  You could go for Zabaleta for attacking potential
Stoke City
Remove player i
Huth
£5.5
Southampton while they have be fantastic in defence haven’t always been the best on attack and while I think they are starting to get better Stoke  have a chance for a clean sheet on their home ground. If not your best attacking return possibility will come from Huth
Hull City
Remove player i
Davies
£4.5
Steve Bruces team have shown the ability to dig in and get clean sheets and I think the same will happen here.  Davies is the pick of the defenders for bonus.
Swansea
Remove player i
Michu
£8.9
Another week another great fixture for Michu to show his goal scoring skills. 2 disturbingly quiet games at home also against good opposition and its now 4 games without a return but I’m backing him to step up to form again in the local derby against Cardiff
Man Utd
Remove player i
Januzaj
£4.8
Some gametime risk here but worth taking away to Fulham especially against the Fulham FBs who don’t seem to know the difference between theirs and the opposition penalty areas
West Brom
Remove player i
Sessegnon
£6.6
You have to have an attacking punt for the home game against Palace and I’ve gone for a punt in Sessegnon who plays in the CAM position and  seems to have done everything except score in his last 4 blank games.  I’m picking here for a change of fortunes
Man City
Remove player i
Silva
£9.3
The top rated “ones to watch” midfielder against good opposition and also as the support of scoring forwards to turn chance creation into assists for him.
Chelsea
Remove player i
Schürrle
£7.3
I’ve gone for another punt here.  Should start after missing the Capital One Cup.  Scored last week and his playing style should suit the counter attack that will be employed against Newcastle.  the 2 FBs are also going going forward but a little more suspect defensively.  Safer choice would be Oscar.  Hazard less so as he seems better in home games
Man City
Remove player i
Agüero
£11.4
Form man of the moment with 4 goals and 2 assists in his last 3 starts.  Norwich look fairy juicy opposition in this form. Rotation for the Wednesday champions league game is the only shadow.
Aston Villa
Remove player i
Benteke
£8.8
Great underlying stats and up against a team that hasn’t performed as well as you think on their home ground.  Looks ready to return to scoring form after the pen miss at the weekend
Man Utd
Remove player i
van Persie
£13.9
Away to Fulham after 2 goals and an assist in his first 2 looks a very good fixture indeed and I’m backing him in this match
