Brief match commentary
Fulham started the game well and could have been out of sight in the early part of the first half but only had Sidwells deflected shot to show for their lead. Newcastle built some pressure up and equalised with HBAs speculative shot. Fulham came back to win through Rodallega but were relieved to hold on as Newcastle pressed for a winner
defensive stats
Fulham defended reasonably well but for Newcastle it was another ordinary defensive stats performance which would give me no confidence to buy any Newcastle defensive player not matter what the fixtures
player shooting stats
Ba as always, despite being isolated, and without Cabaye turned up and led the shooting stats narrowly from Berba. Sidwell who doesn’t see himself as the defensive midfielder everyone else does followed with Rodallega next.
Pen Box touches were led by the forwards in the following order. Ba, Rodallega, Berba and Cisse
Chances created
Duff, Berba and Cisse
Most forward midfielders
Duff. Anita and HBA
performances by players owned by more than 10% of fantasy premier league teams
Riise – why nearly 12% of fantasy premier league managers would own him is beyond me. The Fulham defence is pretty ordinary to see this and although he creates a reasonable amount of chances its 8 games since he got an assist and he’s yet to score. Its certainly not enough to a £1.2m premium over Hughes even if you believe in the defence. Good fixtures now though but not for me in this defence.
Berba – Its 5 games now with no returns although he did havestoke Chelsea and Spurs in those 5. is out of all the shooting stats although has the fall back of creating chances for others. His next fixtures show great imrovement and you cant keep down quality

Only Liverpool away to be afraid of so I would definitely hold on. However if you have the cash I would be thinking of Defoe, Giroud and Tevez as alternatives.
Demba Ba – 2nd in the overall shooting stats and 3rd in the last 6 albeit on the back of easy games it was another good stat performance despite it being a difficult game for Newcastle. The fixtures are seriously about to turn though as follows
