Fantasy premier league match analysis for Saturday game week 20 – part 2

Gameweek analysis

Here’s the shortened form of the fantasy premier league stats analysis for Saturday GW20  – part 2, to go with the shortened game week

Norwich 3 Man City 4

The Norwich defence had one of those crazy days when they concede all over the place in contrast to some days when the look totally solid.  However, fantasy premier league owners of Bassong and R Martin particularly got returns from an assit and 2 goals respectively.  Tevez was rested but apart from him the fantasy premier league high % owned players of Aguero, YYT and Silva all got returns.  Dzeko went crazy with 2 goals and an assist.  Nasri went crazy touching heads with fellow Frenchman (although plays for Cameroon, not in ACON by the way) and got sent off and will not sit out 3 matches.

defensive stats

Not great from City, not good from Norwich

player shooting stats

Aguero and Dzeko followed by RMartin.  No goal threat from midfield particularly Nasri and Silva and limited from YYT.  Limited from main fantasy premier league Norwich midfield threat of Snodgrass

Pen Box touches were   Aguero and Dzeko

Chances created

YYT and Silva

Most forward midfielders

Snodgrass and Nasri

Reading 1 West Ham 0

Everyone’s favourite goal bonanza target Reading has suddenly kept 2 clean sheets in a row.  Forgotten fantasy premier league striker Pogrebnyak scored the winner courtesy of a diabolical “through ball” from James Collins.  The much vaunted return of Kevin Nolan, by me if no one else, came to nothing and West Ham drew a blank.

defensive stats

Reading were poor despite the clean sheet.  West Ham had great stats they just made the error that led to the goal.

player shooting stats

No one produced any stats worth talking about.  Nolan did nothing unfortunately.

Pen Box touches were  Collins Cole and Nolan

Chances created

only Jarvis worth noting

Most forward midfielders

McAnuff and Jarvis

Stoke 3 Southampton 3

Those fantasy premier league managers holding suspended Shawcross and Cameron should have little to worry about in terms of game time security as the Stoke defence amazingly conceded 3 goals.  Lambert showed his all round game with 2 assists and a goal although this was an over performance of his underlying stats and Jones again showed his potential with a goal and an assist

defensive stats

Neither had great stats although Stokes were better

player shooting stats

Jones followed Rodriguez, Upson and Puncheon.  Lambert didnt do much on the shooting front.

Pen Box touches were  Jones by a mile followed by  Rodriguez and Do Prado

Chances created

Walters and Whelan

Most forward midfielders

Walters and Puncheon

Arsenal 7 Newcastle 3

If only my imaginary wildcard was real.  A fantastic hat trick plus 2 assists for Walcott and hopefully a few FFgeeks put him in.  2 goals from Ba showed he can score anywhere.  Giroud interestingly came on for 2 goals.

defensive stats

Despite the score Arsenals stats were good.  Ba is just lethal.  Newcastles were very poor

player shooting stats

Walcott Ba and Giroud unsurprisingly.  Cazorlas shooting stats were poor as were Podloskis

Pen Box touches were also Walcott, Ba and Giroud

Chances created

Wilshire, Podolski and Marveaux.  Cazorlas stats were poor

Most forward midfielders

Walcott and Marveaux
