Here’s the fantasy premier league match analysis gameweek 31 – Sunderland v Man Utd, Southampton v Chelsea, Swansea v Spurs & Arsenal v Reading

 Sunderland 0 Man Utd 1

An RVP assist for a Bramble OG

Defensive stats:    fantastic from Utd.  Poor from Sunderland

Player shooting stats:     RVP was the only one to produce stats of note and these were very good.  you write him off at your peril

Pen box touches:    RVP only to register

Chances created:    Young did very well

Most advanced midfielders for each team:   Sessgenon and Kagawa centrally and Young wide

Most involved players in attacking positions for each team:    McLean and Young

Comments on important fantasy premier league players:

Kagawa was quiet on all fronts

Sessegnon was quiet on the shooting front but was adavnced and had a good amount of pen box touches.  Fletchers injury may gave him chances if there are good fixtures only.

You doubt RVP at your peril

Southampton 2 Chelsea 1

Goals from Lambert and Rodriguez assisted by Davis.  Chelsea goal came from Terry assisted by Marin of all people.

Defensive stats:   ok stats from both teams

Player shooting stats:    Rodriguez by a mile.  There really has to be a bandwagon starting soon.  Moses was the only other one to register

Pen box touches:       Moses Rodriguez Hazard and Hooiveld

Chances created:    Davis and Lambert

Most advanced midfielders:  Davis and Moses

Most involved players in attacking positions for each team:  Rodriguez and Lambert.  Azpilicueta for Chelsea

Comments on important fantasy premier league players:

Mata was injured and Hazard didnt start.  Neither did Lallana for Saints also due to injury, hence Puncheon starting.

Lambert was very quiet on the shooting front despite his goal but created chances as usual.  Oscar and Lampard were hugely disappointing.  Torres was a disaster.  Puncheon did nothing to suggest further selection.

Rodriguez was sensational

 Swansea 1 Spurs 2

The bale and Vertonghen show with a goal and an assist from each.  Michu scored with an assist from Ki

Defensive stats:  ok ish stats from Swansea, poor stats from spurs considering they were one of the best teams away

Player shooting stats:      Michu led the way followed by Bale and Nathan Dyer.

Pen box touches:    Michu Dyer Bale and Monk

Chances created:     Routledge De Guzman and Tiendalli

Most advanced midfielders for each team: Michu and Bale

Most involved players in attacking positions for each team: Dyer and Bale

Comments on important fantasy premier league players:

In order to get Cazorla in I had to sacrifice either Mata or Michu and I chose Michu due to fixtures.  I’m hoping the Chelsea home game to sunderland recifies the balance.  However Michu has been producing good underlying stats and the goals were going to come.  Bale showed why he is a must have again.  Dyer has selection issues but was impressive.  Siggy was disappointing.

Arsenal 4 Reading 1

Goals from Arteta Gervinho (plus 2 assists) Cazorla (plus an assist) and Giroud.  Additional assist from the Ox.  Reading goal from HRK assisted by McAnuff.

Defensive stats:  good defensive stats from Arsenal.  The Reading stats were about as bad as you can imagine

Player shooting stats:    Gervinho Giroud Cazorla and Ramsey

Pen box touches:       Gervinho Giroud Ramsey and further behind Cazorla

Chances created:      Ramsey and Sagna

Most advanced midfielders:  Gervinho and HRK

Most involved players in attacking positions for each team:    Ramsey Rosicky and Cazorla all with similar stats.  McAnuff for Reading

Comments on important fantasy premier league players:  In this procession for Arsenal everyone performed except the defence that had good stats but no Clean Sheet.

For Reading not much was expected but HRK showed his scoring ability even though t was his only chance
