Here’s the fantasy premier league match analysis for gameweek 7 part 2 with Cardiff v Newcastle , Fulham v Stoke and Hull v Villa. I’ll be concentrating on line ups and player performance
Line ups and ratings from the Daily Mail
CARDIFF (4-1-4-1): Marshall 7; Theophile-Catherine 4, Caulker 5, Turner 6, Taylor 6; Medel 6; Odemwingie 7 (Maynard 81), Kim 6 (Mutch 46, 7), Gunnarsson 5, Whittingham 6; Campbell 6 (Bellamy 66, 6).
Subs not used: Hudson, Noone, Cowie, Maynard, Lewis.
Goal: Odemwingie 58. Assist: Mutch
Booked: Gunnarsson.
NEWCASTLE (4-1-3-2): Krul 6; Debuchy 6, Williamson 6, Coloccini 6, Santon 6; Tiote 7; Gouffran 7, Sissoko 7, Cabaye 8 (Ben Arfa 86); Cisse 6, Remy 8 (Gutierrez 71, 6)
Subs not used: Anita, Yanga-Mbiwa, Elliot, Sammy Ameobi, Dummett.
Goals: Remy 30,38. Assists: Sissoko Cisse
For Cardiff, Odemwingie starting for Bellamy and Kim starting ahead of Mutch was probably the only surprises
No real surprises for Newcastle. Tiote started again and Williamson ahead of Yanga-Mbiwa
Newcastle killed the game with 2 great finishes from Remy. Cardiff came back strongly but couldn’t get the equaliser

Remy
Yet another competitor for our forward line? I had a lot of thought about him before my last forwards “ones to watch ” article but didn’t put him in as he seemed to have scored on very little shots and that looked a little unsustainable. however today it definitely wasn’t the case and he had great shooting stats. 5 goals in his last 3 starts says it all. While there’s Sunderland away in GW9, the 3 around that are Liverpool H Chelsea H and Spurs A so for that reason I’m still in the holding off .
HBA
4 minutes today and with a pretty vibrant attacking performance and difficult fixtures to come it seems highly unlikely he will get a look in again
Campbell
Another pretty anonymous performance with very little stats to get some comfort from
Fulham 1 Stoke 0
Fulham 4-4-1-1: Stockdale 6; Reither 7, Senderos 6, Hangeland 5 (Richardson 46, 6), Amorebieta 6; Ruiz 6, Karagounis 6 (Boateng 60, 6), Sidwell 6, Duff 6; Kasami 7; Berbatov 6 (Bent 66, 7)
Subs not used: Etheridge, Taarabt, Rodallega, Zverotic
Booked: Amorebieta, Richardson
Goal: Bent 83
Stoke 4-3-3: Begovic 6; Cameron 6, Shawcross 6, Huth 7, Pieters 6; Wilson 6 (Whelan 59, 5), Nzonzi 6, Ireland 6; Walters 6 (Crouch 83), Arnautovic 7, Etherington 6 (Assaidi 63, 6)
Subs not used: Sorensen, Palacios, Jones, Adam, Crouch
Booked: Whelan, Walters
Amorbieta started at LB which was a surprise. Bent was dropped for the old Berba Ruiz combination up front. Kasami and Duff took the flanks
Stoke with a false 9? Whatever next? Stoke played Arnautovic as a striker. The defence was as expected. The midfield saw Adam drop to the bench and Ireland start
Hughes said he didn’t know how they lost that game and I have some sympathy for him apart from the poor refereeing decisions anytime that Stoke have 56% possession and nearly double the amount of shots then you know you didn’t play well. Stoke really should have won this game but Bent came on and showed how you should finish in a way that the strikerless Stoke team couldn’t

Defences
The Stoke defence performed well and can consider themselves unlucky to concede. Only Bent was a threat. Fulham were average defensively despite the clean sheet and should have conceded 2 pens.
Bent
if you believe anyone falls into the 1 shot 1 goal category its Darren Bent. 2 goals in 312 minutes of football and a point every 15 fantasy premier league minutes is excellent but is Jol going to play him or not that’s the question? palace away next is attractive but then its Saints A, United H, and Liverpool A so not for me
Kasami
£4.6m cheapie started the last 4 despite the fiddling of Jol but didn’t return in any and hasn’t since his opening day goal. Other cheapie midfielders look better.
Arnautovic
Anytime a £5.5m midfielder plays as a striker it gets attention but although that was his position he seemed to shoot from anywhere except the penalty area and didn’t have many touches in it either. only his high average position would have given you a clue that he was the striker. WBA home next is an ok fixture but the United A and Southampton H after that puts me off and again there seem better options
Hull 0 Villa 0
HULL: (4-4-2) McGregor 6; Rosenior 5, Faye 6, Davies 6, Figueroa 6; Elmohamady 5 (Meyler 85), Huddlestone 7, Livermore 6, Quinn 6 (Boyd 69, 6); Graham 5, Aluko 5 (Sagbo 69, 6)
Subs not used: McShane, Harper, Bruce, Proschwitz
Booked: Rosenior, Davies
ASTON VILLA: (4-3-3) Guzan 6; Bacuna 6, Clark 6, Vlaar 6, Luna 6; Delph 8, Westwood 7 (Tonev 74, 6), El Ahmadi 6; Wiemann 6, Kozak 6, Agbonlahor 7 (Bowery 74, 6)
Subs not used: Baker, Sylla, Herd, Bennett, Steer,
Nothing unexpected in the Hull line up or the Villa line up.
I predicted a backs to the wall clean sheet for Hull and it was definitely the case with villa having 55% possession and a 3 to 1 shot count. Lambert better hope Benteke is back in the team quickly. However Steve Bruce knows how to get clean sheets and this was another example. Just a shame that it was after cheapie Chester got injured so I couldn’t benefit

Defences
Lots of shots against for Villa but no real big goal scoring chances for Villa. The Villa defence coped well with a powder puff attack.
Agbonlahor and Weiman
Both had some chances to score and have performed reasonably well but with the multitude of forward options they’re just not going to come into anyones reckoning.
That’s it time for the Chelsea game
