fantasy premier league new players – the basics on the late transfer window additions

Fantasy Premier League, New player profiles

Here’s a short article giving basic details on some late summer transfer window details.  We’ll look at their last seasons record as well as international pedigree if applicable.  We’ll also speculate as to their place in the new teams line up and who will be left out as a result.  We’ll also look at the gap left in the team they’ve exited if it’s a premier league team.  We’ll also give you their FPL cost.  I may do another article as there are so many transfers but this is the first one.

fantasy premier league new players – the basics on the late transfer window additions

Papy Djilobodji (Nantes) Undisclosed to Chelsea

The 26 year old CB Senegal International (12 caps) played 31 games for Nantes in the French League last season with no goals or assists and 11 YCs.

Hard to predict whether he will start at not.  With Zouma, Cahill and Terry there and the Chelsea defence in flux it looks to be one to wait for.  Looks like the FPL site agree as he’s £5.0m

Kevin De Bruyne (Wolfsburg) £58m to Man City

The 24 year old AM/LW/RW Belgian international (33 games 8 goals) played 34 games for Wolfsburg last season with 10 goals and 21 assists at a goal or assist at an exceptional every 98 minutes

Should start immediately, possibly on the right of the midfield 3 in 4-2-3-1 at the expense of Navas.  Costs £10.0m in FPL as a midfielder

Anthony Martial (AS Monaco) £36m to Man Utd

The 19 year old CF French U21 international (12 games 4 goals) played 35 games for Monaco last season with 9 goals and 4 assists at a goal or assist at every 139 minutes

Probably a back up to Wayne Rooney rather than seeing Rooney drop to a number 10 but not impossible as £36m is alot of money for a back up and the number 10 position does seem a problem for United.  £8.0m in FPL as a forward

Heung-Min Son (Bayer Leverkusen) to Spurs

The 23 year old LW/SS South Korean international (44 games 11 goals) played 30 games for Bayer Leverkusen last season with 11 goals and 3 assists at a goal or assist at every 163 minutes

Chadli and Eriksen (currently injured) seem fairly nailed in the 3 of 4-2-3-1 so Son will fight it out for the other place.  Very expensive at £8.0m and classified as a forward

Ramiro Funes Mori (River Plate) £9.5m to Everton

The 24 year old CB Argentinian international (1 games 0 goals) played 50 games for River Plate last season with 6 goals and 2 assists at a goal or assist at every  556 minutes

Everton have a shortage of back up CBs but it’s hard to see Stones or Jagielka unsurped here.  £5.5m in FPL as a defender is expensive being the same price as Stones and Jagielka

Dieumerci Mbokani (Dynamo Kiev) Loan to Norwich City

The 29 year old CF Congo international (31 games 15 goals) played 8 games for Dinamo Kiev last season with 3 goals and 1 assists at a goal or assist at every  107 minutes

Norwich have been desperate for a striker with Cameron Jerome the lead striker so far with no goals or assists in his first 4 games.  Could easily start with a reasonable run of fixtures.  Not cheap though at £6.0m as a forward

Bournemouth (H)
Liverpool (A)
West Ham (A)
Leicester (H)
Newcastle (A)
West Brom (H)

Victor Ibarbo (Roma) Loan to Watford

The 25 year old RW Colombian international (12 games 1 goals) played 23 games for Roma last season with 2 goals and 5 assists at a goal or assist at every  232 minutes

Hard to say with such a big squad what the impact will be on the lineup.  He cpould possibly take the position of Abdi.  He’s £5.5m and classified as a forward which makes him fairly unattractive.
