Fantasy premier league news – Bale injury scare plus Walcott update

News

Well it wasn’t a nice sight for everyone to see one of the best players in the premier league go down in pain like he did after rolling his ankle like that but for those people with Wildcards left if he was going to get injured he couldn’t have timed it better so  here’s the early fantasy premier league news update.  Firstly here’s quotes from AVB in the Daily mail

‘He rolled on his ankle. There is a lot of pain, but hopefully it is not as bad as it could have been.
‘Gareth has torn that ligament before. There is lots of swelling. There is a possibility he is going to be able to make it for the Manchester City game (on April 21).
‘We recognise the form the player is in and the squad will step up a level for his absence. Key players are always missed but we have played without him before.’

Personally I don’t know why AVB continues to flog him in such a mickey mouse cup while he bizarrely rotates centre backs like they’re china dolls but anyway….

So for Wildcard holders if you wanted to sell Bale for GW33 only unless you wanted to store money up to transfer Bale immediately back in you had to leave Bale for a week against Man City in order to create 2 transfers to make the funds available.  At this moment in time not having Bale in your team is a recipe for 90 minutes of extreme nervousness so the injury takes away that problem assuming AVB is being a little optimistic.  He is definitely out for GW32  against Everton.  I will lose 0.4m for an immediate sale but to be honest he will drop to that level if I held him anyway.

The Arsenal website gave a fairly negative view on Walcotts prospects for GW33 throwing fantasy premier league managers plans in to chaos.  Here’s the words from the site

We have good news with both of them. Jack and Theo are outside running, and have an outside chance of being involved against Norwich a week on Saturday.

Outside chance is not what I want to be backing for my wildcard choice.  I’ll keep you in touch on fantasy premier league news for both players
