fantasy premier league news of the day – 10 September 2012

News

Fantasy premier league news of the day for the 10 September with stories on Krul, Evans, Neil Taylor, Diaby, Gera, Barry and price rises/falls.

Tim Krul

Holland goalkeeper Tim Krul  suffered an elbow injury in training on Saturday and is now back at Newcastle.
Krul played in the 2-0 win over Turkey.   He is out of the match against hungary and ts a matter of waiting to  discoover the severity of the injury.

Not good news for the fantasy premier league managers who own him although the immediate  future away to Everton in GW4  wasn’t looking at rosy returns anyway.  However until there’s more info I wouldn’t rush him in to any post wildcard squads.

Jonny Evans

If you think that Jonny Evans playing against Russia meant he was going to be challenging Ferdy for a start in  GW4 then think  again because it seems he’s a doubt for the WCQ home to Luxembourg.  it seems to be a continuation of the ankle injury that he had surgery on in the summer.

Neil Taylor/Dwight Tiendalli

As we mentioned yesterday Swansea are looking to sign the  former Holland under 21 left back Dwight Tiendalli.  That deal is now complete so those banking on a fantasy premier league  £4.0m Ben Davies as a replacement for Neil Taylor who is out for the season should look elsewhere unfortunately.

 Diaby

Anyone thinking of putting cheapie Diaby of Arsenal in to their team should think again after he was rules out of action through injury and wont play against Belarus.

Apparently its “a muscle concern” according to France boss Deschamps.

 Barry

The 0.9% of fantasy premier league managers owning Rodwell will not be pleased to hear that Gareth Barry could be back in 2 weeks and has been training for the last 2 weeks just as fixtures are getting closer to improving.

Joe Allen

Gt seems he has shaken off the effects of a virus giving a boost to his fantasy premier leaguie owners and should now play against Serbia.

Gera

Fantasy premier league managers thinking of gambling on him returning to the lineup in GW4 away to Serbia were given a boost by the fact that he will be fit when sitting on the bench in GW4 against Fulham.  This was when he was declared fit to play Holland.

Price rises/falls

no material changes there

Thanks, see you on Tuesday
