Fantasy premier league price rises and falls
Thanks fully no change on this front
Rooney
According to a story in the daily mail Rooney could be back for the Spurs game on September 26 ie Game week 6
Heres the quotes from the paper
‘The injury is going well. It could have been a lot worse than what it was. It is up to the doctor. When he declares me fit I will be ready.
‘It feels good at the minute. The timescale put on it was four weeks. If that is the time they feel I need for the wound to heal properly then that is what I will do.
‘What I don’t want to happen is to come back too early when it is not quite healed and it opens up again first game. That would just set me back again another four weeks.’
He added: ‘Overall, I think at the most I will miss four games.’
A four-game lay-off might mean he is available for the Capital One Cup tie against Newcastle on September 26, or perhaps the Barclays Premier League visit of Tottenham three days later.
Adebayor
Yesterday there was a story on the Daily Mail about Adebayor being on a special fitness regime in order to get him ready for a start against Reading. Defoe fantasy premier league owners should be nervous as I think that AVB will stick with 4-3-3 with Bale and Lennon flanking Adebayor. He didnt replace Defoe for Adebayor in the Norwich game but that was an extreme case when he was chasing the game. I would hold defoe for the Reading game to see what happens and that may didtate a transfer out even with the gopod fixtures Spurs have.
Diakite
Another £4.5m cheapie bites the dust. Apparently hes gone back to France with Depression. If you were using him as your cheapie for some reason (a love of the colour yellow maybe) then this looks like a sell to me. It may blow over before the 15th but lets keep an eye on it. Conversly it does give more opportunities in the missfle of the midfield and Fuarlin and Granero owners should be feeling happier
Liverpool strikers
Desperate times. Heres Rodgers words from the daily mail (sorry to all albour voters but its an excellent football paper)
There might need to be an intermediary way of working now,’ Rodgers told the Anfield Wrap.
‘Boys like Suso will get their opportunity. The percentage Under 21s playing in the Premier League is statistically very, very small. We are going to be stretched the limit and [we’ll be telling them] “if you’ve got little niggles and injuries you’ve got to man up.”
‘We’ve got to be together and be strong.
‘This [situation] will allow guys to stand up to the plate. You get an opportunity but you have got to take it.’
