Aguero injury
Nothing certain yet akthough looking unlikely to play in the short term. Heres a bit of cut and pasting from the dily mail website to give a bigger picture. To me it will be worth waiting a few days until the extent of the injury is known although this morning 40,000 on barclays fantasy premier league people had sold him although no price drop as yet. “Sergio Aguero will be playing again within weeks after a scan on the star striker’s injured knee on Sunday.
Mario Balotelli twisted a knee in the post-match warm-down and was seen wincing. A six-a-side practice game was interrupted by Balotelli’s pain, although City sources later played this down.
City manager Roberto Mancini said he was ‘very worried’ that Aguero may have suffered a serious injury, but Aguero said on Twitter on Sunday night: ‘The studies I had done revealed there’s no significant injury but it was a very tough blow to my knee.
‘Tomorrow, the physicians will evaluate the time it will take for me to recover.
‘I have no words to thank for your concern for me and with this much support, I’ll recover faster.
‘And I want to congratulate my team mates for their effort in turning this game around. Now more than ever – C4MON @MCFC !!’
There will be more tests this week to determine the exact extent of the damage.
Speaking about Aguero after the game, Mancini said: ‘We need to wait and, while I hope it is not serious, it is a worry. It is important luck is on your side over the course of a season, but we have been unfortunate with this injury. The knee is always dangerous.
‘It was so strange because there was no issue with the tackle. It was not a strong tackle, and Sergio wanted to play on.
‘Maybe he is out for a week, or three or four weeks, or until after the international break. We have to see.’
Mancini admitted his side’s slipshod defending concerned him.
‘We didn’t play well with our defenders, but it is not always their fault,’ he said.
‘We had enough chances to close the game out.’
Interesting comments about the defence. tevez is obviously the big beneficiary of the injury in terms of game time security and this morning nearly 32,000 people had transferred him in on Barclays fantasy premier league. With liverpool A and the QPR at home where either City or spurs will be the obvious captain option it is a logical move.
its hard to see for a few games if there will be an opportunity for a bargain £7.5m Dzeko. Ballotelli holds no comfort at the same price as tevez so dzeko is the potential bargain but too early to tell yet.
Rio Ferdinand
What are they doing at Utd, playing rugby League in training. More injuries to the defence and Ferdy out for 4 weeks. I imagine that Carrick will take his place as Smalling Evans and Jones are all injured which is bad news for anyone holding him in the SKY game for the passing bonus but probaly good news for Kagawa owners as it heightens the prospects of him playing.
cant see young £4.5m Michael Keane playing unfortunately as that really would be a bargain although Evans is apparently back next week. I now see rafael playing as 2 midfielders in the defence?

Don’t know how much paper talk this is. threat really is to kagawa’s central position so maybe monitor before a transfer in this week if that’s what you’re thinking.
Buttner – Man U
All those who paid a premium for Evra should be worried 23 year old Vitesse LB Buttner has signed subjec to a medical as competition for evra
played 107 games for Vitesse and made the initial 36 for the Dutch Euro 2012squad but didnt go to the finals. worryingly for Rafael owners can also play RB
