A brief fantasy premier league news of the day for Tuesday 23rd October including the Champions league games and Lindegaard

Champs league

Chelsea and Utd face either other this weekend so the significance of the squad selection yesterday is limited as they’re both bound to select their full team for this game.  The sight of RVP and Rooney in the suad for a pretty ordinary Portugese team before a game against Chelsea and after them playing on the weekend shows how SAF isnt going to take any thing for granted in the champs league this year.  Fantasy premier league managers also had further confirmation  that Utd’s defensive issues are far from over unless you believe Ferdy can change everything.  Hernandez gave at least Welbecks fantasy premier league owners  something to think about although how he sits with RVP is another thing. The result does at least give fantasy premier league owners of Utd players hope that rest for key players in the champs league may still occur.

The main issue from the game was the injury to Kagawa where he twisted his knee and according to the Daily mail he’s a doubt for Chelsea.

Here’s SAFs take on the defensive issues which is far from comforting as quoted in the Daily Mail

‘If you analyse the goals we are losing, they have come from throw-ins, crosses, cut-backs, all sorts, and they are finding players free in the box.

‘It’s difficult to put your finger on it, and it’s a concern. We’re not starting games very well but we will sort it out, that’s for sure

Chelsea pretty much put out a full team apart from Hazard although he came on for Lampard after Lamps suffered a recurrence of the calf problem that kept him out of the recent England games.  It seems as though he will miss the Utd game although I think they would have picked Ramires and Mikel anyway

Lindegaard

The Daily Mail reported he has a thumb injury and will miss the game against Chelsea.  Nothing from the Club on the injury and how long.
