Here’s the fantasy premier league news of the day on Sunday GW17 – including Fellaini, Man Utd, Ben Arfa and Kolarov

Fellaini

The second highest % owned player in fantasy premier league (Michu is the highest) looks set for a decent length ban (at least 3 weeks) after the head butting incident with Shawcross.  He issued an apology as quoted in the Daily Mail

I apologise completely to Ryan Shawcross, my team-mates and to our fans at the game,’

‘There was a lot of pushing and pulling going on inside the Stoke penalty area and I didn’t feel I was getting any protection from the officials.
‘Nevertheless I know I shouldn’t have done what I did.
‘I have also apologised to the manager and the staff. I have no excuses, I was disappointed with the way I was being treated and I lost my temper, which was unprofessional of me.’

Already 13,000 fantasy premier league managers have transferred him out.  It seem likely either Mirallas if he recovers from injury or Naismith will play in an advanced role with Jelavic.

Ben Arfa

Having just come back it looks like HBA will be rested for a few weeks to allow his hamstring to recover.

Here’s Pardew in the Daily Mail:

‘There is a danger he could tear that and if he did that he would be out for two or three months whereas if we do it the right way and be sensible about it, it may only be three weeks. And obviously that is the route we are going to take.’

With Cabaye out to February it does look like the Midfield will continue as Tiote, Anita Jonas and Perch.  The lack of creativity doesn’t seem to have hurt Ba though who continues scoring

Kolarov

The Serbian apparently got in a heated exchange with fans holding an Albanian flag resulting in a claim of racist abuse against Kolarov.  Obviously there is alot of animosity between the 2 countries over Kosovo

Here’s the police statement

‘Northumbria Police has received a report of racist language having been used at the St James’ Park stadium during the Newcastle United v Manchester City match today.

‘Northumbria Police takes such allegations extremely seriously and enquiries are ongoing into the incident.’

Any ban such as Suarez or Tevez got would see a cementing off Clichy’s position at LB.

SAF

Anyone holding Walcott thinking that there’s a January transfer on the way to Man U should think again after SAFs blunt assessment of what will be happening in the January transfer window

Here’s his quote in the Daily Mail:

‘I will not be bringing anybody in, in January – definitely not,’

World Club Championship

Chelsea played a full strength team in their 1 – 0 loss although the game will be remembered by fantasy premier league managers for the miss at the end by Torres.

This game and the up coming quarter final of the Capital One cup which benitez will surely be looking to win will further emphasise the need for rotation in fantasy premier league when Benitez has already stated that “we have too many players who have played too many games”.  Not the words you want to hear as a fantasy premier league manager when  you’re holding such expensive assets as Chelseas

Price rises and falls

Its only Sunday afternoon and already there are 13 players who’s price has risen £0.1m.  Begovic at £5.6m, Fellaini and Bassong some of the more perplexing.

A multitude of falls as usual. Cazorla, Walcott, Giroud, Le Fondre and Enrique some of the more interesting ones
