News

Here’s the fantasy premier league news for Tuesday 16 march 2013 including DGW36, Wilshire, Aguero, Jonas, some injury doubts and Price rises/falls

Double gameweek 36

Man City v WBA will be now within GW36 as its being played on May 7.  Not on the site yet but it now means these 2 teams as well as Wigan and WBA will have a game.  Not sure I would bother with anyone from WBA except Lukaku and mayybe Morrison if you’re desperate.  Aguero is my best bet for City especially when you see the news re his proposed ban not happening as I think he is unlikely to be rotated given he has played less games.  Defence is also worth investing in although everyone except Kompany and Hart is a rotation risk.  In midfield I think its ether Silva or a cheeky punt on Nasri

Wilshire

As quoted in the Daily Mail

‘I rushed Jack back a bit. He was not completely ready,’ Wenger said on Arsenal Player.
‘How careful have I to be? To listen well to the medical advice and that is what I have to do, use him when everything is all right and listen to him as well, how he feels.
‘Jack has been out for six weeks, so maybe it was a bit too rushed, what I did.
‘I will get advice from the medical department and how he feels as well and as well use my experience and the fact I know him very well.
‘He practices with me since he was 16, so I know quite well how his body responds to things.’

Good news for Rosicky owners as he should slot in to the central role which he filled so effectively against WBA as he is fit to play against Everton.  It will be interesting to see how Wenger lines up if and when everyone is fit.  I’m still for Walcott as the most essential Arsenal midfield player.  Gets in the box more and shoots from closer range than Cazorla who on Saturday seemed deeper in a “Modric ” type role.  Gervinho will be a casualty in my mind when everyones fit

Aguero

Hold the transfer button.  Reports are suggesting that Aguero wont face further action for his stamp.  As Chelsea got the free kick this is presumably under the same rule that McManaman  avoided a retrospective ban.

Jonas

Pardew admitted that Jonas was a mistake at LB.   When Adam Johnson has an effective game you know that somethings wrong.  I expect Haidarato be back.  even at £41m the Newcastle defence isn’t worth investing in for me.  From the Shields Gazette

“That was a tough decision,” Pardew told the Shields Gazette.

“(Haidara) is a young boy. I wanted to play a bit of experience – people who I think know the game – and in hindsight perhaps I should have played him.

“I didn’t think he could get through that after Thursday – his first game (back) – and also get the intensity of it.”

Injury Doubts

A couple of  injury doubts to flag in Fabianski and Tomkins if you’re thinking of investing early in the week for some reason.  However you should be buying DGW36ers in Man City Swansea Wigan and WBA.
