fantasy premier league polls – the FFGeek poll for forwards

Fantasy Premier League

I thought it was worth a fantasy premier league polls article to look at who visitors to the site have assessed as their 3 forwards for GW1.  We’ll look at the top 10 votes and then remind you of the 15/16 stats as well as give a few comments on their prospects

Comments

Aguero

The Man City forward has great stats, good fixtures and limited minutes played in the Copa America.  A great captain option, highly owned and has pens.  The only unknown is whether Guardiola will change his prospects in any way

First 6 fixtures:

Sunderland (H)
Stoke (A)
West Ham (H)
Man Utd (A)
Bournemouth (H)
Swansea (A)

Ibrahimovic

The Man Utd forward also has good fixtures to start and mind boggling stats from his time at PSG.  Only group games at the Euro’s.  Just his age, rotation and the new league are the potential de railers.  Will be highly owned though

Bournemouth (A)
Southampton (H)
Hull (A)
Man City (H)
Watford (A)
Leicester (H)

Kane

The Spurs forward started slowly last year but finished very strongly.  Does have good fixtures and pens.  Whether he’s had too much football is the only question.  Now Spurs have a realistic deputy that should mean more rest.

Everton (A)
Crystal Palace (H)
Liverpool (H)
Stoke (A)
Sunderland (H)
Middlesbrough (A)

Vardy

The Leicester striker was sensational season last year.  Now his price is very high and it’s whether last season can be repeated.  Especially if Mahrez goes.

Hull (A)
Arsenal (H)
Swansea (H)
Liverpool (A)
Burnley (H)
Man Utd (A)

Lukaku

The Everton forward had a bit of a streaky season last year but does have a reasonable price and good fixtures to start.  New manager effect is a bit of an unknown especially as I imagine he will try and fix the defensive problems.  Question over pens with new manager.

Spurs (H)
West Brom (A)
Stoke (H)
Sunderland (A)
Middlesbrough (H)
Bournemouth (A)

Batshuayi

The new Chelsea striker had good stats from Marseille and looked good in his short appearances at the Euro’s for Belgium who he has a good, albeit short, record for.  His starting place probably relies on the new manager playing 4-4-2

West Ham (H)
Watford (A)
Burnley (H)
Swansea (A)
Liverpool (H)
Arsenal (A)

Sturridge

There’s absolutely no doubting the Liverpool forwards quality and ability to score in the premier league.  The fixtures and his injury record are the inhibitor but in a season with no European football this could be what he needs to be a major FPL force

Arsenal (A)
Burnley (A)
Spurs (A)
Leicester (H)
Chelsea (A)
Hull (H)

Diego Costa

The Chelsea striker had a mixed season last year but a rest over the summer should see him reinvigorated.  The question will be how the new managers system works for him.

West Ham (H)
Watford (A)
Burnley (H)
Swansea (A)
Liverpool (H)
Arsenal (A)

Giroud

Another streaky scorer who gets loads of chances in the Arsenal system but is often criticised for not consistently finishing his chances.  Probably won’t start GW1 after playing in the Euro’s final

Liverpool (H)
Leicester (A)
Watford (A)
Southampton (H)
Hull (A)
Chelsea (H)
