fantasy premier league QPR V West Ham – the immediate reaction

various

Heres the fantasy premier league immediate reaction to QPR v West Ham including lineup, match and player analysis

Line ups

QPR lined up in 4-4-2 with Hoilett left out and Hughes going for Cisse and Zamora up top.  The LB problem was solved by Clint Hill and Mbia and Nelsen were the CBs. Taarabt was also on the bench after coming back from injury

West Ham gave a start to Jarvis for Taylor, otherwise they lined up as expected

The Match

Unfortunately the worst thing that can happen in a match involving big Sam is that his team scores early because you know then the rest of the game will involve defence, fouls to stop the flow of the game and counter attacks and set pieces.  The game due to a poor performance overall by QPR didn’t pan out that way West Ham had as much possession and a greater number of chances.  In fact despite their passing pedigree in Granero and Faurlin they were quite wasteful in possession and certainly lacked concentration on defence.  In fact it was QPR with frustration getting to them that racked up the cards and saw that red card magnet Diakite sent off after coming on as a sub.  Jarvis scored within a couple of minutes of his first premier league start, Vaz Te got the other and Taarabt replied to make it 1-2 which is how it finished

Cisse

Returned to the team and was probably the main threat  for West Ham.  QPR have good fixtures coming and have the 6th best next 6 fixtures but its hard to recommend anyone after this performance.

Nelsen

Has value at £3.9m but its hard to see clean sheets coming which is disapointing given the Chelsea clean sheet.  The fact is they have one of the worst defensive records in actual and underlying terms.  Have only as a filler

Nolan

With Cole the main threat and got an assist.  Shared the best shooting stats for West Ham with Cole and led the chances created column.  Will be greatly assisted by Carrolls return.  West Ham have the 12th best fixtures in the next 6 and they get worse but with Carroll back I wouldn’t be rushing to sell

Cole

Will now lose his place to Carroll so its time to sell for fantasy premier league owners.  Was a reasonable threat though.
