Here’s the fantasy football geek team for gameweek 5 after much debate!

So loads of cogitating but no transfers this week in the end even after all the debate over what to do
Here’s the team with a bit of narrative over the debate I went through:
The main debate I went through this week was over Callum Chambers and either transferring out Terry as he’s too expensive for the Chelsea defensive form at the moment or Chester who with Bruce experimenting with 4-4-2 may have had his time with Hull. Having an Arsenal defender for £4.5m is a pretty attractive option and away to Villa a reasonable start. However with Arsenal having Spurs and Chelsea after that suddenly Chambers didn’t look like such an immediate issue and he could wait for GW8 home to Hull. The slower rate of price rises should help that. Leaving for 2 weeks could mean that next week I put in Bertrand for Chester and swap Marney for Boyd (annoying transfer I know) which will then give me Betrand home to QPR and Terry home to Villa in GW6. Worth some pain this week. After last weeks 87 I’m due some and with 9 out of 11 players away from home it will be a tough weekend I imagine. The defence was the only tricky call really with team selection. Despite my obvious misgivings about the Newcastle defence a home game to Hull had to be in the mix. Chester I’m not sure will even line up unless Bruce goes back to 3-5-2 so I’ve put him on the bench as he can be a sub sometimes when they change formation. I kept Terry instead of Chester for that reason and as it wouldn’t surprise me if Mourinho went ultra defensive and Terry is always a goal threat although Kompany diminishes this.
The Spurs WBA game is a game of great interest and I debated swapping Pelle for Adebayor or Siggy for Chadli but it looked a bit short term. I would also be swapping high ownership and good fixtures for low ownership and some tricky fixtures after WBA for Siggy and just great fixtures and form for Pelle so I held tight. Adebayor and Chadli’s ownership is pretty low anyway (both under 10%) so no matter what they do this week it wont be the end of the world ranking wise.
I’ve put Rooney as the obvious captain this week although I’m doing a captain article now so it could change in theory
