With Chadli looking like he will be going down in price tonight (how do I still own him?) I had to make a decision on my transfer for the blank infested GW27. Here’s the FFGeek team with me talking through the issues and dilemmas

Here’s the team. 1 change at the moment and thats Chadli out and Walters in. In the end the stats convinced me to go for Walters over Moses. I had to go at this price to make enough money to swap Puncheon for Eriksen for DGW28. I can also then swap Gardos for Rose for DGW28 having 2 transfers. Despite the defence not performing and the rotation risk, Spurs have good fixtures and Rose has good attacking potential. The only issue here is that I only have enough money to do these transfers exactly so have to hope that no price changes mess me up. At the moment it looks ok but I will have to act early to avoid any issues. I really don’t want to have to make transfers before Spurs play on Sunday. I would probably sacrifice Rose for Dier rather than do that. Having not replaced Gardos who definitely won’t play, how annoying exactly would it be if I then couldm’t afford a Spurs defender due to price changes. At the moment I’m going to take that risk but tomorrow is another day (or morning rather) to cogitate over that dilemma.
The big picture here is that anyone who comes to the site knows I’m a fairly conservative player especially when it comes to ownership to hold ranking. However DGWs are the one area that I really do think it’s worth throwing the dice. No one really knows how its going to work out.
There are definitely other issues with my team. Van Aanholt looks favourite to be benched after missing out last week and Sunderland getting a clean sheet as a result. Bellerin was terrible against Monaco and could also be benched especially with Arsenal playing again on Wednesday. Thats 3 of the 4 playing defence who may not line up. However the one advantage (if you can all it that) of having Gardos and Chadli is that it ends the temptation of transfer for Van Aanholt or Bellerin as nothing would be worse than a hit and then finding Van Aanholt lines up in midfield for example or Bellerin does make the team. So my only debate is leaving Gardos and putting Rose in or putting a cheapie in such as Haidara with short term points potential.
As far as Captain is concerned I’ve gone for Aguero at the moment. At the rate he’s going I may not touch the captain button again? The Liverpool defence has been good but Spurs gave them no end of trouble and with them playing 120 minutes on Thursday in Turkey it’s just too tempting. Liverpool will also play Man City rather than parking the bus meaning that the lethal counter attack that City love should be in play. I’m going to do a captain article tomorrow though to make a final decision.
