The transfer
Despite my problems in defence GW11 was always going to be Lukaku week. Everton have a great run of fixtures and Lukaku has done pretty well considering his fixtures to date. I did have 2 debates before putting him in. The first was Kane although fixtures stopped that. The second was Bony and had I been a bit more sorted in defence and didn’t own that waste of space known as Shaqiri then I would have gone for him. However the idea of putting Bony in and then taking him out as early as GW13 seems a little ridulous so Lukaku it is. The irony would be if I took Lukaku out in the end for Aguero but I’m thinking it might be the end of Vardy’s run.
The team selection
It couldn’t be any easier at the moment. With only 3 defenders with any chance of playing then that sorted out that. I’m a little confused I have to say about the Richards situation and whether he’s going to be banned for the game against Spurs. If he was it may lead to me playing the AOA chip but I’ll leave that to tomorrow.
That lead to me having to make a decision on the front 8. Shaqiri has a good fixture and Mahrez a tricky one. However given Shaqiri’s form I’m not sure I’d pick him if he was home to Bath City. So Shaqiri on the bench.
The Captain Pick
I’ve gone for De Bruyne although I will be doing a captain article tomorrow to make a final decision.
