I did a couple of fantasy premier league teams to show a different approach to playing. They are both teams that are selected by outside information. If they do nothing else when updated every 2 weeks they’ll give you some food for thought on player selection.

It’s all a little brief as time is short but this will give you the basic idea
Team 1 – the bookies team
Here’s a team based on the anytime goal scoring odds and clean sheet odds each week . Basically I came up with a rough team structure and then picked the best odds for GW1. I’ll make 2 changes every 2 weeks and in that you’ll see who has the best goal scoring and clean sheet odds that week and who doesn’t at least in my team. There will only be 1 attacking and 1 defensive player from each team and the changes will be in essence to improve the difference in odds as much as possible. Captain will be decided by goal scoring odds. It does play down the importance of assists so should be interesting to see how it does.
If it does nothing else it will give you some food for thought on player selection every couple of weeks. Here’s the team:
Team 2 – The shots on target team
You may have seen my article on shots on target and regression.
As I said I read a number of articles which seem to suggest that shots on target is a good stat for goals. So I’ll also be playing a team based on that stat. Defence was just similar to my team
