fantasy premier league tips – GW1 – analysing 10 top FPL managers

fantasy premier league

You may remember my posts from last year where I followed 10 top FPL managers and analysed their teams and transfers.  These aren’t just managers who are successful at the minute but those who have been successful consistently over the last 3 years.  It gives you another perspective apart from mine

fantasy premier league tips – Analysing 10 top FPL managers

I’ll look at the initial team structure in this article.  I’ll look at which players are owned by the managers. I don’t mention every player obviously just those owned by a minimum amount.  I’ll also look at the captain choices.  but next week I’ll start analysing transfers as well.

The 10 top FPL managers stats

These aren’t the same 10 as last season as I’ve had trouble finding some.  I’ve still got 10 quality managers to analyse though.  As the season goes on I will try to add even more successful managers

6/10 FPL managers  are the same as last season

Here’s the stats:

1.  Their averaging finishing position over the last 3 years has been 9,984.  Thats the top 0.3% of FPL managers

2.  4/10 have finished in the top 1000 in the last 3 years

These are still pretty impressive stats

  1. Hi,

I had mata in my 4 man midfield and he was very quiet. I already have Rooney and I don’t think I need both.. I’m thinking mata out for Siggy or Silva. Yes city are better but if Swansea score I feel it will go through siggy now.. And he’s such a fantastic price. Your thoughts?

  2. There is a lot to be gained by following the top FPL managers, I have a few linked as rivals in “FPL differential” as a benchmark. Its interesting to see their transfers in and out in terms of strategy.

  3. Interesting information. Several similaraties with my team, however adopting Ronney, Costa and Sturridge upfront and Fabregas and Silva in midfield, who all did well this week did not leave me much else. To get Ramsey or Sterling in to support this lot results in changing out several defenders and GK’s so wildcard would be needed. Week 2 is a little early to panic, wait for Sept at least. regards

  4. Can you post a sample team for the next one like you did last year? It’s easier to get an idea of how they spend their budget that way 🙂
