fantasy premier league tips – Rob Reid updates us on his latest draft

Hi folks – hope you’re enjoying pre-season and the countdown to FPL 2018-19. With most of the friendlies and the Community Shield all done and dusted, here’s an updated draft from me.

A few changes from the couple of first drafts I’ve published. I’m now leaning heavily towards 2 big value strikers so I’ve concentrated on the draft that has both Aguero and Aubameyang. I’ve brought Bernardo Silva in following an excellent performance at Wembley and Pep’s comments post-match suggesting that he’s nailed for GW1. I’ve shuffled the midfield around a bit – I’m liking the look of Jota of Wolves as an attacking option and I’ve put Fraser and Cairney in as the other 2 though I’m likely to rethink this a bit as they don’t rotate very well.

At the back, I’m on 3 premiums plus 2 4.0m players which worries me a little. I’ll probably try and find an extra 0.5m somewhere to upgrade Bednarak as his gametime isn’t secure – I could find that from downgrading one of the cheaper mids. I’ve also switched to Patricio in goal at present though I’m still considering a premium keeper and downgrading a premium defender.

Lots of tinkering to be done in the next few days and I’ll let you know what my final team is before the deadline along with a more detailed analysis of my selections and my targets for this season.
