fantasy premier league transfers gameweek 38 – Aguero, Rooney, Ramsey and Mata transfer options

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s an article to give you some idea of the key fantasy premier league transfers gameweek 38 options for potentially injured or dropped players of  Aguero, Rooney, Ramsey and Mata. Ive tried to match them as a one to one swap.  At the risk of stating the obvious with this being the last week try and leave the transfers to the last minute depending on your financial position due to the uncertainty of them starting

fantasy premier league transfers gameweek 38 – Aguero, Rooney, Ramsey and Mata transfer options

Aguero (£12.8m) and Rooney (£11.7m)

Neither are out for sure for GW38 and this needs monitoring.  I’ve grouped them together as they’re relatively similar prices.

  • Dzeko (£7.3m)

With Pellegrini playing 2 strikers Dzeko looks certain to start whether Aguero recovers or not but if he is injured then any small residual doubt disappears.  3 goals in his last 2 games shows his form.  West Ham haven’t been the worst side away (around mid table) with 9 goals conceded in their last 6 games away.  Man City with everything to play for should be able to negotiate the West Ham bus(es)

  • Sturridge (£9.8m)

After a a successful return with a goal against Palace, Sturridge has to be a big favourite against a hapless Newcastle.  They’ve  conceded 13 goals in the last 6 away games and have been in free fall since the sale of Cabaye.  Amazingly thats his only goal in his last 5 games but his overall form this season has been extraordinary with a goal or an assist in close to 80% of his games.

  • Adebayor (£7.3m)

Not been in the greatest of form with only 22 points in his last 5 games and only an assist in his last 4.  However his overall form this season has been good.    However the oposition will be interesting.  They can be a very good team away from home but can be awful with 4 goal thrashings away to Swansea and United recently.

Ramsey (£7.5m)

Apparently will be back for GW38 but with Arsenal having nothing to play for hard to see that he will return to the team.  Here’s some options

  • Sterling (£6.2m)

Playing centrally in an advanced position he has a great chance of a big score against a poor Newcastle side who’ve  conceded 13 goals in the last 6 away games and have been awful since the sale of Cabaye.  3 goals and 2 assists in his last 5 games is an excellent return for his last 5 games.

  • Schurrle (£6.8m)

A far riskier option from a gametime and form point of view. However no doubting the attractiveness of the opposition away to Cardiff.   Hard to say whether he will play or not given the midfield options especially if Chelsea are out of it after tonight. Incredibly he’s had no returns in his last 6 games.  However there’s no doubting the German internationals class and we should also remember his 20 and 15 FPL point hauls against Fulham away and Stoke.  Cardiff can’t defend to save their life and only Fulham have conceded more than Cardiff at home.  OGS doesn’t know what a bus is either.

Mata (£10.0m)

No injury concerns but with Giggs making Moyes every changing team selections look predictable as he now has no job to play for then there’s every chance Mata will start his 3rd consecutive game on the bench away to Southampton

  • Nasri (£8.7m)

2 goals and an assist in his last 5 games and with selection seemingly guaranteed Nasri is a solid player producing good results.  Along with all the City team will have something to play for in GW38 as they look to wrap up the title.  West Hams defence has been mid table in the last 6 games conceding 9 goals.

  • Silva (£9.4m)

A gametime risk with Silva being unable to play 2 games in close proximity recently.  This is exacerbated by his start against Villa.  I’m writing this just before the City game and expect Silva to play behind Dzeko which his most dangerous position.  That may not be the case against West Ham if Aguero is fit which is detrimental to his returns.  Form is reasonably good with 2 goals and 2 assists in his last 5.  A gametime injury risk though  is the main concern

  •  Gerrard (£9.6m)

Back on it with 10 points against Palace with 2 assists.  Been very consistent and could have a penalty and set piece feast against the hapless Newcastle team.  2 goals and 3 assists in his last 5 games.

Hope that gives you some food for thought
