FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE TRANSFERS GW10 – MIDFIELDERS “ONES TO WATCH”

Here’s the table of stats. It’s important you read the key to understand them. I have notionally ranked the players although there are enough stats for you to apply your own judgement. It’s important to understand that the ranking assesses them as a transfer target for this gameweek. So there is a weighting towards someone who is home to Burnley as opposed to someone away to Spurs. Obviously not the only factor but one. So for example there’s no Tadic or Chadli who have difficult fixtures away To Man City and Liverpool respectively.

Below that are some keys comments on the players

fpl-gw10mids12w

Key:

Pts Per Match: FPL Points per match
Consistency %: the % of games that a player gets a goal or assist
Fixt ease 6/3 games: The ease of the next 6 and 3 fixtures (6/3) coming up. The lower the better fixtures
Last 4 points: the number of returns and points from the last 4 FPL games
ICT PM: The ICT scores per match. These are taken from the FPL website and are there to represent the players underlying stats. I is influence, C creativity and T threat. The underlying stats that will reprsent the possibiltiy of a goal or assist
Anytime Goal Scorer Odds: The anytime goalscoring odds for the next match from 1 bookie. Its £’s return for £1 invested

KEY COMMENTS

Here’s a few key comments on players where there is something relevant to say:

All the players in the Champions League clubs of Leicester, Man City, Arsenal and Spurs are rotation risks as they try to navigate through the fixture maze. Less so for the Teams in the Europa League of Man Utd and Southampton where a reserve type team often turns up.

Sanchez is a midfielder playing as a central striker which is a big attraction.  Giroud though is coming back to fitness and could change that

Heung-Min Son has played striker in Harry Kanes absence through injury in preference to Janssen although only once. Pochettino playing 4-1-4-1 gives a greater chance for Son to be included in the midfield if thats required.  Kane is back in training though and Son’s place will need to be monitored

De Bruyne isn’t fit for the EFL cup game and has to be a doubt for GW10

Firmino also has had some time as a central striker although it can be termed as a false 9 meaning he drifts around more than a conventional striker

Hazard and Arnautovic (Bojan may take them if on the pitch) have penalty duties.

De Bruyne, Payet, Coutinho, Ozil, Eriksen  and Arnautovic all have a reasonable share of set piece duties

If you look at the ratio of underlying stats in the form of the ICT scores you could make a case for saying in theory that the following players have underperformed their underlying stats which could see an improved position coming:

Firmino, Pogba, Eriksen, Redmond and Payet

Those overperforming who could see  slow down following the same logic:

Son, Shaqiri, Lallana and Allen

Some people not on the the schedule.

Lingard and Martial would be given there next fixture home to Burnley if selection wasn’t an issue.  Same for Mirallas and Lamela

Nolito would be on but is too much of a rotation risk
