When I imagined writing my fantasy premier league GW32 article I was thinking of the excitement of 2 free transfers to use before my wildcard of GW33. The transfers were most likely to be filled by Chelsea players away to the hapless Villa. However the sacking of Remi Grade meaning a possible new manager effect and the travels of the various Chelsea players plus Hiddink talking about experimenting means it’s all changed and not quite as easy as I had thought it was going to be

So 2 free transfers for 1 week only. In theory what could be better. However as I said it wasn’t that easy. To such an extent that I’ve made 1 transfer and after much debate and cogitating not being able to decide on the other.
Firstly here’s the transfer I have made. Siggy out and Payet in.

The transfers
So originally my thought was to transfer out Siggy for Willian but given the travelling Willian did over the International break and Hiddinks “experimental ” words I’ve decided that Payet represents a safer bet.
So where to next. My other target was Alli but with only £0.4m left then there wasn’t any particularly attractive options.
So with no where to go I focused on defence and GK. Gomes was the obvious weakspot. Unfortunately the Payet transfer put me £0.1m short of putting Courtois in. So in defence the main way to improve were undoubtedly Chelsea and Arsenal. Unfortunately I’m a little concerned about who will start again for Chelsea as an option. Ivanovic sounds relatively safe given he can play CB and I could change Otamendi for him. With Mertesacker looking like he could lose his place I could introduce Gabriel into the line up or change Otamendi for Bellerin even. The situation is made more difficult because of big conflicts on my clean sheet prospects vs the bookies. My most likely transfer though is looking like taking out Walker for Gabriel so I cover the Arsenal clean sheet either way. Either that or Otamendi out and Ivanovic in. Anyway I’ve eventually decided to park it for tomorrow morning or later tonight if I get inspired.

I’ll stay with 3-4-3 but the issue is over defence where there’s quite a bit of conflict in my selections and the bookies. Here’s the difference

The Bookies order: Mertesacker Wollschied Simpson subs Otamendi Walker
Now I’m not transferring out Simpson as hes probably staying in my Wildcard team so Walker is out no matter what. It’s just the selection that is the question. I’ve fudged it based on the bookies selection but it isn’t easy as Spurs and Man City are my and the bookies big conflicts this week. Again tomorrow morning is another day
