FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE WILDCARD TIPS GW11 – OUR IMAGINARY WILDCARD

Fantasy Premier League, imaginary wildcard

Here’s our fantasy premier league wildcard tips article GW11 where we pretend we have a wildcard to use. It gives you some player picks with more longevity than just the next gameweek. It also puts those picks within a structure and a team value that is realistic. Lastly it brings together our player picks articles in the “ones to watch” series.

It’s a very short article. There’s no stats but go to our “ones to watch” articles where there will be detailed stats on each player. Here’s the links in each position:

Midfield

Forwards

So here’s the team. It’s at a very affordable value at around £102.4m

I’ve tried to base the picks on my “ones to watch” rankings within the confines of my own team value of £102.4m

I’ve started with 2 premium forwards and the 2 top ranked were Aguero and Costa.  I stuck with that despite Costa’s 4 yellow cards.  I chose Austin as the cheap striker due to budgetary constraints over Defoe who is slightly more expensive

With the Midfield the 2 top ranked players were the Liverpool pair of Firmino and Coutinho.  De Bruyne led the premium midfielders but as I already had alot of stock invested in Aguero I side stepped him to go 1 lower rank with Sanchez.  Allen led Gundogan in the cheapie midfielder race for the 4th midfield spot.

In defence I started by looking for value, fixtures and immediate return potential with the top ranked teams.  That led me to Stones, Lovren and Darmian.  In the cheapie positions Holebas stands out for his attacking potential and Friend due to Middlesboro’s surprising defensive solidity.  However neither of these 2 have anything like good fixtures this weekend.  Thats why I went for Darmian.  I was tempted by Soares of Southampton who has better fixtures but is injured until after the International break.  However that would have meant playing Holebas or Friend who have terrible fixtures in GW11.

In the GK position I stuck with Sunderland cheapie Pickford and went for save king Heaton of Burnley

Hope that gives you some ideas for your transfers or wildcard if you’re lucky enough to have one.
