FANTASY PREMIER LEAGUE WILDCARD TIPS GW15 – OUR IMAGINARY WILDCARD

Fantasy Premier League, imaginary wildcard

Here’s our fantasy premier league wildcard tips GW15 article where we pretend we have a wildcard to use. It gives you some player picks with more longevity than just the next gameweek. It also puts those picks within a structure and a team value that is realistic. Lastly it brings together our player picks articles in the “ones to watch” player rankings series.

It’s a very short article. There’s no stats but go to our “ones to watch” articles where there will be detailed stats on each player. Here’s the links in each position:

So here’s the team. It’s at a relatively affordable value at around £103.3m

The first thing to remember is that this team was done within a funds limit so there are compromises.

So starting from the back I’ve kept with the 2 cheapest GKs for the save points.  Stoke reserve GK Grant has some respite with Jack Butland continuing to get injury set backs.

I’ve gone for the 2 best defences next both with good fixtures in the short term.  Vertonghen is the cheapest Spurs defender and Alonso for Chelsea has too much attacking potential to ignore to the extent that he’s practically a winger rather than a full back

I’ve then had to go for 3 cheapies to fit within budget.  I’ve gone for the cheapest defender in the best cheap defence of Middlesboro in Calum Chambers.  Then it’s the next 2 cheapest defenders I can find in Amat and Nyom.  I would have liked to have gambled on Jones of Man Utd but funds didn’t permit

In midfield it’s the big 2 of Hazard and Sanchez.  I’ve then gone for Firmino rather than the higher ranked Mane again for budget purposes.  The last playing midfielder is Snodgrass.  He’s had a tough time recently but when you’ve got all the set piece responsivility you’ve always got a chance and 2 of the next 3 have some goal scoring potential.  If you wanted to rebalance the team the idea would be to downgrade a premium defender and get Sigurdsson instead.

De Room is the cheapest of the playing midfielders.

Upfront I ranked Ibra higher than Kane but again the 2 fixtures after Man Utd of Burnley and Hull are just too attractive.  The it’s the obvious of Costa and Iheanacho as the chreapie with 4 games and Aguero out.  Another option would have been Anichebe in to get Sigurdsson in the team

Here’s how it would look like from an anytime goalscoring and clean sheet odds perspective

£2.58 isn’t that great but 4 odds less than £2.00 is attractive

Hope that with our “ones to watch” articles this gives you some ideas for your transfers or wildcard if you’re lucky enough to have one.
