Here’s my fantasy premier league imaginary wildcard team. This is where I pretend I’m using my wildcard to give you some food for thought on who to put in your team for your GW17 transfer or transfers. It’s to give a bit of a longer view on players than if the picks were just for GW17 only which is a bit of an unrealistic look at your transfer options

As I said here’s where I pretend I have a Wildcard and use it. This is just to help you make a decision on what transfers you are going to do for GW17.
Here’s the team. I have just done some quick comments on each player and the structure. You can find full details including stats and upcoming fixtures on all the players in my “ones to watch” articles although I haven’t done a defence “ones to watch” this week due to time constraints. The team value is around £105.0m which is quite steamy but savings could be made in the defence
Goalkeeper
I’ve stuck with the cheap GK going for save points with his deputy as the sub
Defence
I’ve gone for the Chelsea defence as my mainstay. I’ve gone for Azpilicueta which is a gamble given Luis’ position recently but it could be that Azpilicueta’s just had the rest for the xmas period and could now be rotation free. The City defence is difficult with the rotation possibilities within the team so I’ve gone for Demichelis as the cheapest option while Kompany is injured. I’ve then gone for Evans with Uniteds improving form and then it’s 2 cheapies in Yun and N Taylor
Midfield
Sanchez and Hazard are the 2 essentials in the midfield. YYT I’ve chosen as the City midfield coverage player. Eriksen has the explosive potential and the fixtures. I’ve kept Siggy in due to his ownership.
Forwards
The rotating front 8 is complete with Austin’s great home fixtures coming up and Kane also having good short term fixtures. Costa is the main stay striker
