fantasy premier league wildcard tips – my imaginary wildcard

Fantasy Premier League

Here’s our fantasy premier league wildcard tips article where we outline a team using an imaginary wildcard.  It’s to give you some ideas for transfers but instead of it being based on 1 gameweek it gives you a longer term view

Here’s the team with some narrative below explaining the choices.  It’s fairly brief but there’s loads of detail and stats in the “ones to watch” articles.  The value is around £105.0m

I’ve gor the one GK and his reserve by choosing the Pulis inspired WBA GK Foster with Myhill as a reserve.

In defence I’ve stuck by my feeling that Chelsea and Southampton are the standout defences and need to be represented.  I’ve resisted the temptation to take a risk with Chelsea’s cheapie Zouma and gone for John Terry.  No cheap choice in the Southampton defence with any longevity so I’ve gone for Clyne.  Arsenal RB Bellerin is too good value to resist.  That leaves 2 cheap defenders to finish the line up so I’ve gone for Van Aanholt and Stokes Wolscheid.  They rotate ok but the home and away necessity seems a bit irrelevant with alot of teams having a mix of home and away clean sheets.

Using a wildcard meant having a team that can be ready for putting Sanchez in against Leicester if needed.  It would involve a hit but that is how I would approach it.

Kane and Hazard are ownership essentials.  Aguero is as someone who is too dangerous not to own and a natural captain option.

Silva and Cazorla are good fixture and form options.  My main choice was between Di Maria and Eriksen.  I’ve gone for fixtures over form and selected Di Maria thinking his quality has to shine given the fixtures.

Lastly there’s Giroud who again is a fixture and form option

Thats it.  Excuse the brevity but as I said there’s a load of stats in the “ones to watch” articles
