INTRODUCTION TO www.fantasyfootballgeek.co.uk

various

Hi, this is a site to give hints and discuss strategy on the barclays premier league and facebook version of fantasy football. The last 2 years I’ve finished 5,000ish in the barclays format out of 2.5m players and on facebook around 700 out of what I think is 500,000 players.

I’m going to start the site with a review of what I think was the fantasy team of the season for last year.  I will also do a post on strategy for my views on how to play FF.  Then I will move on to reviews of pre season games and news stories, all leading up to the new season kick off date of 18 August 2012 where  I will say who I think should line up in your initial team.

The format once the season starts is to preview the game week, discuss players and give picks (buy and sell) for the coming week. I will then do a post game week review and  will at any time give my views on players matches etc if anyone’s interested. All you need to is ask a question in the comments section.

If you’re not a serious player, although that seems unlikely for anyone reading this, and if you just want to do reasonably well in the league you’re in at work etc with no effort, you can copy my team as I will show  my team every week and what transfers I do.  Unlike a ot of people I always do my transfers late in the week on a Friday or Saturday morning so you can copy my team if you want without any worries over value differences due to time lags or without having to log in everyday.  Before you say, why do you always transfer late, what about the value implications etc, Ill explain all my reasoning when I do my strategy piece later.

I’ve also got a facebook site at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Fantasy-Football-Geek-Fantasy-premier-league/409140805791545
