McDonalds Euro 2016 fantasy football tips – a selection of cheapies for your bench

Euro 2016

Here’s our McDonalds Euro 2016 fantasy football tips article where we give you a selection of cheapies primarily for your bench if you’re trying to maximise your funds.  We look at players with a maximum cost of £4.5m for defenders and £5.0m for midfielders.  We also offer up a couple of real punts.

A number of the defenders are already in my defender article but here they are.  I do need to repeat the warning that the reason they are cheap is for a reason.  Either lack of scoring potential or gametime risk or both.  Also if they are on the bench it’s worth going for players later in the round so you can swap them for an underperforming player before your bench player has played.

Remember you’ll see the Romanian player before the deadline but you then won’t be able to use him to substitute out later.

If you really want to gamble even further there are a couple of players even cheaper who I haven’t included as they appear to be even more of a gametime risk

In midfield there’s Rafa Silva of Portugal at £4.5m who looked like the ultimate cheap midfielder.  However he hasn’t lined up in tonights friendly which has to put some doubt over his place.  He has a very good attacking record for Braga but is 6 games for no return for Portugal.  The other option is Slovakia’s Hrosovsky who is an attacking midfielder and played the last 2 friendlies.   He’s also a novice at 9 internationals for no return.

There’s also 2 Croatians that maybe worth a gamble.  The first is a forward if you want a forward on the bench called Pjaca at £5.0m.  He’s an international novice with 6 games for no return but has played the last 2 friendlies.  The other is an attacking LB called Strinic at £4.0m where there appears to be a battle going on.

The above are all options for minimum bench spend if you’re confident in your starting 11 and not worried about needing any subs.
